Hipster.
Most say 6-13 are their best seasons.
I can't believe that to be true. If you watch the first six seasons and compare it to the rest of the series it's two different shows. In their earlier seasons they still parodied pop culture but it was done in a better, more interesting way... Chinpokomon for example. That was when the series was truly brilliant.
I've watched all seasons through 15. I'm currently watching the show through a second time and am in Season 13.
The first two to three seasons had hardly any parody / satire...and were simple toilet humor at best. The perfected the style in later seasons.
Also, some of the best characters came in later (or started being used in more episodes) - Jimmy, Token, Butters, etc. Running jokes also become better (They Took Our Jobs, Don't Call Me Buddy Pal, etc.)
The only thing missing is Chef...and dead people can't do voice work very well.
They perfected their style with seasons 3-6, it was never the same after that. The show just got more ridiculous after that. I also don't agree with the first two seasons being mostly toilet humor. The drawings were crude but the writing was very good.
