Nearly 2 years ago, FOX raised quite a few eyebrows by cancelling the long-running series "America's Most Wanted" after 23 years on its air. Last summer, host/executive producer John Walsh found a new home for his weekly search for the country's most dangerous fugitives on Lifetime of all places.

Unfortunately, "AMW" didn't last long on Lifetime. Since premiering in December, 2011, the series had actually repeated several times, complete with updates on fugitives & missing persons and their respective status. The last episode on Lifetime aired October 12th last year, but it wasn't until March 28th when TV Guide reported that the Disney/ABC-owned outlet had cancelled the series after almost a whole calendar year on its air.

Might "AMW" soon have a new home? According to TV Newser, a meeting is scheduled in the next few weeks between Walsh & new CNN President Jeff Zucker. There's talk that "AMW" might resurface on of all places, CNN. Although the show might not be an ideal fit for the 24/7 news channel, since Zucker became new CNN President earlier this year, they've actually expanded programming from outside production companies. Then again, crime-themed documentaries have helped sister network HLN as well as rival MSNBC in recent years on the weekends.

Walsh made his first public comments to TV Guide's Michael Schneider since Lifetime cancelled "AMW" about 2 weeks ago. He explains why CNN might actually be a fit in his show's quest to fight crime & terrorism in the following link:
