I haven't seen either but Deck the Halls looks like a piece of crap.

That this has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way

Pick of Destiny was everything a D fan could hope for. Don't know that it'll find a broader audience, but some nice cameos and some hilarious songs (I liked the somewhat rock operaish touch). I enjoyed it.

Anyone even considering seeing Deck the Halls should be run over repeatedly by a garbage truck.

I haven't seen it, but this looks like the biggest piece of crap that has come out in the last few years.

I finally watched this last night. I like the D, and it was pretty much everything I expected. I thought the same thing about the Rock Opera. I thought that Amy Poehler stole the scene she was in.
Non "D" fans definitely won't like this movie.

Don't waste your time with the Tenacious D movie. Go find the "Complete Masterworks" DVD set, and a couple new pairs of underpants. <Rome> Phenomenal! </Rome>
