In episode 3 they went back home and had all their treasure taken from them by Earl. Then he hoarded it and killed a kid.

As much as I like this show there is one really big historical error.
There is no way an Earl could act like this one his. As soon as he started a guy like Ragnar or Rollo wold challenge him and that would be the end of it......literally.

Good show but both the Earl and his right hand man need to go to Valhalla.

The Earls only kept power through being generous and not slamming down those the ruled. When men did good you gave them riches to keep them with you. A greedy earl soon had his men pick up and leave. Or challenge him, there was no proxy in those fights. I do not see Harldson beating Ragnar.

Season finale next week.

I've enjoyed the first season.
