I've been there. Definitely a bigger shithole than it looks on TV. There are long lines for "tourists". However, you can get right in if you are actually pawning something. I saw pawn transactions taking place while I was there, but most people were just walking through. Definitely have a big merchandising area, which is obviously for the large tourist contingent that comes through. Most of their case are filled with typical pawn store fare: jewelry, watches, other junk. But they do have some of the cool stuff out on display, too. Especially on the walls.

For those of us that were there at the McNugget Contest after-party, there was the chance to drink with Wayne and Elyse of Hardcore Pawn Chicago. I remember drunkenly saying something like, "Hey that's Wayne from TV!!!!" Wayne gave me a dirty look.
