The top chef post made me remember this....

Last heard Phil rosenthal on WGN, I think, talking about this show...

In order to get more buzz the producers fly out Media critics to see a taping...

Phil says he gets to LA checks into the hotel and a bus picks him and few other media people up and they drive to an abandoned establishment. he said he was really concerned to walk in but understood that is the theme of the show, this rowdy KNIFE fight thing. So he walks in and he says everyone is drinking. They have a full bar set up and it just seems like a club. PA yells 15 minutes, everyone get set. Phil chooses to try and stay off camera so he is not in a crowd shot, so he goes to the back of the room and keeps moving away from people, then a door opens next to him, he moves out of the line of the door so whoever comes out can walk and allegedly steps in front of another guy who was there (an actor) so they filmed Phil and not the actor guy. So the actor says "You motherfucker I am going to kill you, you ruined my reel shot".

He says he then realizes the entire crowd are actors trying to get 1 second of flim for their reel so they can have a credit in Knife fight.

he stays for another 10 minutes while this guy is walking around to all his actor buddies pointing at phil as if he ruined his big shot.

Phil then said he left, told the producers he wont review it and not to call him again.

The show is on ESQUIRE in case you missed it and its basically like Chopped with a drunk live audience...I think the host was on Top Chef like I am supposed to remember him. lol
