Funny this comes on in a week where there's a Zombies thread created in the GS. But I'll post it here since it belongs here.

BBC3 series in 3 parts, each running roughly 65 minutes long.

Going off of the idea of "re-animating" the dead, kind of borrowing this seedling of an idea from "Day of the Dead", what if zombified people could be reassimilated back into regular life? With proper medication, contact lenses and applied makeup, you could have your deceased flesh eaters living normally again.

It's an interesting concept but the writing is even better and really does some great things. It's been renewed for a new season in 2014 and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

The main character, Kieren, is brought home by his parents after going through "treatment" as a zombie, to what's known as a PDSS (Partially Deceased Syndrome Sufferer). The twist is that he didn't die of natural causes, he killed himself. So there's a lot of family drama that's touched on very nicely. There are some great subplots and an underlying element about immigration, segregation, and racism that is also explored a bit.

Very intelligently written, excellent acting and well done. Check it out.

Agreed.

I watched the first episode and really enjoyed it.

In the Fletch would be better.

bump.

this show came back a few weeks ago and i kept meaning to find the thread...this is one of the best written shows on television. it covers so many social issues very cleverly and is also just an intriguing show on top of that.

has a lot of commentary on where things are in human rights. the hypocrisies, double standards, stereotypes...it's all extremely well done.

saturdays at 9pm on BBC America. Currently on demand too...although I think the first season dropped off.

sounds interesting but the concept seems like it has its genesis more in frankenstien than day of the dead

I was watching Kitchen Nightmares and saw a bunch of ads for this. It did actually look good.
