I watched Part 1 last night. It was surprisingly not bad. Looking forward to Part 2.

CH approves of that and wishes to know how to escape Lake Geneva and similarly situated hell holes.

I'm not sure how much truth is in the movie vs fictionalized story, but it was cool seeing some of the tricks he did in his act over the years.

Attended the Houdini auction a couple of weeks ago, History channel was there filming it, not sure what for, but they were rolling.

It was like the capone auction, all the cool smaller items when for big cash. Simple framed posters they had valued at $200 went for $700+. There was some a number of phone bidders on his trick setups, props, etc.

Google up Potter and Potter, they have some cool auctions.

History channel

Also, Adrien Brody is turning into a new Nic Cage. Dude has won an oscar, but accepts tons of roles that someone of his stature should reject.

Predators
King Kong
Splice
Houdini (Made for TV Movie)

Yikes....

When you have only had one real true 'acting' role and tons of shit movies, perhaps the good movie is the outlier...

He's done other good work.

Midnight In Paris
Wes Anderson Movies
Hollywoodland

The guy has talent. I'm just not sure why he would take a role for a movie set to air on the History Channel, or star in the movie Predators, which would obviously be bad even without reading the script.

Nic Cage has also done good work. Hence the Adrien Brody comparison. Maybe they have the same agent.

He has been in movies I liked watching but he wasnt good. I cant think of anything where his acting was the key ingredient besides Leaving Las Vegas.

None of those were as bad as cages roles. Not even close.

Predators was god awful. Why would a Best Actor recipient even consider that?

Please who saw the pianist? Who saw the piano Harvey kietels best role? Brody had a great role in the jacket. I guess that is is similar to saying that cage had a great role in Wild at Heart. Preadolescent wasn't that awful if topher Grace wasn't in it.

It was also nice to see Barry from Eastenders get a nice part in this movie.
