Very good movie. Very long movie, but keeps your attention. I found it to be similar in tone and styling to Silence of the Lambs.

It bordered on unintentional campiness with some of the scenes. I heard some people giggle towards the last 30 minutes or so. There were a few scenes with pieces of the puzzle that you would miss if you were not paying attention. A movie that is 2.30 hours long should not have key parts of the plot shown to the audience on a newspaper headline or computer screen. I think having said that, overall I enjoyed the movie and so did my wife. I feel like anything that has Hugh Jackman in it has a chance of being pretty good.

I finally caught this last night. Was a fantastic movie. Jake Gyllenhall gets two thumbs up.

Pretty good movie, nothing special. Paint by numbers storytelling.

Prisoners is definitely a top 2% HBO movie. For me, that means its one of the top 2% of all movies you can watch on HBO that weren't good enough to warrant a trip to the theater or pay per view.

Terrence Howard and Paul Dano are both high ranking members of the "Punch-Me-In-The-Face Face Club".
But Jackman and Gyllenhall were both great in it. Pretty disturbing movie, but I liked it alot.
Great camera work.
