Yeah, this is the beginning of the end of free videos but the more important question is how many people will mistakenly log on to redtube?

Havent gone internet porn in a while, not blaming them for my malware but ...they are the #1 offenders. So, I kind of stay away now.

As I have seen, "the Kids" live on you tube and just cant imagine if it goes to an ALL PAY service, the parents dont cough up the money.

the incessant ads that YouTube shoves in your face (sometimes the ad is longer than the video even) makes this really cynical. It's just an enterprise like anything else now...

I've heard a lot of content creators are pissed about this because while people are using their free trial - surprise surprise - those people aren't generating any ad revenue.

Regular Youtube isn't going anywhere. They're trying this to create "original content", & be their own Netflix. I don't think it's going to fly. Why would someone pay $9.99 for Pewdiepie reality shows when they could pay that for Netflix & get Marvel & House of Cards?

dont think you are talking about the same target audiences there....

Ever see how big Club Penguin was and Minecraft is? and parents pay for both.

FYI, Minecraft owner bought an 89 mill house in LA...so, I think a few parents pay..

Actually, just saw a note on the Stop sign outside.

MY KIDS ARE SPOILED BRATS AND I NEVER WANT TO TELL THEM NO, SO INSTEAD OF GIVING THEM A LOUSY CANDY BAR ON HALLOWEEN CAN YOU GIVE THEM EACH A HUNDY? IT WOULD HELP WITH THE NEW YOUTUBE COSTS. THANKS, Your Neighbor
