Was watching this show last night... had a few funny episodes.

There was one episode I disagreed with and wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

There was a kid serving food at a restaurant who had AIDS. One of the actors refused to let the kid serve him. They all acted like the guy who didn't want to be served by someone with AIDS was this ignorant monster. I disagree. I am fully aware how AIDS is spread and that it is not spread through saliva or the air. However, isn't there at least a slight chance that the kid could have a cut on his hand when serving the food that could come in contact with a cut on your hand? And even if there isn't, is it really wrong for people to be hesitant even if they know how AIDS is spread?

Am I an asshole for thinking this? The episode basically shouted down people who had these thoughts at all.

seeing that AIDS is an actual disease that can kill you, and can be transmitted by blood and certain bodily fluids, it's lame that they actually berated the guy for not wanting to be served. anyone handling food should be wearing gloves but uh, especially if they have a deadly disease. duh. how is this kid healthy enough to work if he has AIDS?
