A great biographical made for TV movie on HBO about Lyndon Baines Johnson and the passing of The Civil Rights Act. It's a fascinating look at the mechanics of passing legislation (best part of Lincoln as well). Bryan Cranston masterfully portrayed LBJ in all his imperfect glory (down to the taking of a dump in front of his VP). The guy was under fire for his entire presidency yet he had built up enough political capital to get things done. I think, while not in the pantheon of US presidents, he should be considered much more highly than he seems to be.
Watch it if you get a chance.
Also, LBJ has the letters BJ in it, which is very funny to me every time someone uses his initials.
