Is that sequence the perfect melding of music and film ever? To me it comes as close. It captures the mood the maker is trying to set almost perfect. The way the scene flows is just perfection. There maybe other songs that fit better but those are written for the spot,this was a couple year old song that the maker grabbed and put in. For music film symtery I go with Streets of Fire. I Can Dream About You is the perfect film song ever just written for a movie ever.

When I first watched the pilot movie for that TV show,I couldn't believe how cool and classy it was. It was like nothing else on TV for about one season. It then became more popular and some of the writing got weird but you are right about that song and sequence in that movie.
