I was gonna take my 11 year old son to see it - but after reading reviews, I may have to hold off. "If it were a drinking game in which you drank whenever anybody was killed, shot or stabbed, you'd be trashed by the end of the movie."

So let's hear about it - without any spoilers.

Stallone should have permanently retired or gone back to stage after the first Rocky.

That's a really shitty weekend. Rambo and Meet the Spartans have done really poorly in my theater. Movies like Bucket List, Alvin & The Chipmunks, and 27 Dresses have been kicking their asses.

I don't think Rambo did as well as they would have liked. There's a reason it was released the weekend when no NFL football games were being played.

It was one of the first movies I ever saw on the family VHS. I loved First Blood.

I would have liked Rambro (Robert Townsend) better.

That's true but I'd rather see Townsend in Attack Of The Street Pimps. "Where's my bitchez?"

Rocky V sucked indeed. John Wayne is still rolling in his grave.

a friend of mine told me the veins thing comes from him rupturing a muscle or something there back in the late 70's, and that's why his arm looks like that.

During the whole movie? Possible I suppose, but I doubt it..

HGH

Stallone: HGH Use Is 'Nothing'

Jan 25, 2008

NEW YORK (AP) — Sylvester Stallone says he used human growth hormone to get buff for the new "Rambo" movie, and defends its use.

"HGH (human growth hormone) is nothing," the 61-year-old actor tells Time magazine in its Feb. 4 issue. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."

Because it is nearly indetectable, HGH has become a substance of great concern in major league baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.

"Testosterone to me is so important for a sense of well-being when you get older," he says. "Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life. Mark my words. In 10 years it will be over the counter."

Stallone directed and co-wrote the new "Rambo" sequel, which arrived in theaters Wednesday.

Checked it out last night prior to hitting the SHOW's Remote in a shoebox tavern/pub.

Not much plot.

TONS of violence.

Plenty of quality kills.

Homosexuality amongst foreigners.

Good stuff - other than the last thing.

I thought I'd have a private viewing at Mount Prospect's AMC Theater around 6PM.

Then a mexican guy and his 6 year old kid sat RIGHT behind me. And the kid started hacking... then he started hacking more when he started shoving popcorn in his piehole. So I moved back a few rows. There were also a group of about 5 eleven year old kids. I thought they were gonna go Lord of the Flies on me after the movie. I guess they let anybody enter an R rated movie after they get their money for whatever 'G' or 'PG' rated movie they pay to see.

The movie was more than worthwhile if you like quality kills, weaponry, blood, guts and little plot.
