We're approaching the 10 year mark since the last writers strike. and it appears that another one is looming.
Which of your favorite shows were affected? Could they have lasted and how long? Which shows would be destroyed by a strike nowadays?

I can't say what shows I like would be affected but I do know the canned laugh track wireless cancer that is Big Bang Theory would not miss a beat.

Fuck CBS and Fuck Kevin James while we are at it.

IIRC Lost and 24. Oh, and I think Dirty Sexy Money.

Battlestar Galactica only finished 1/2 of the 20 episodes of the last season before the strike began. It was a weird spot, in that the 10th episode was a midseason cliffhanger, and thematically a lot of people would have been fine with that episode being the series finale. Ep. 10 ends with BSG finally finding Earth, but it's a radioactive wasteland. The final 10 episodes weren't bad, some great ones, some filler, and I think it was better off for having them.
