Really entertaining, as expected, from Pixar. it's got some big laughs, and even though the plot is predictable, it's still very enjoyable. not much else to say, but the kids'll love it. and even though it runs a bit long (2 full hours), the final act is a lot of fun. the baby steals the show most of the time.

also, the short film "bao" that precedes the film is quite good.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

Brother saw it and said it had a strong feminist/liberal agenda. No thanks.

I trust Gay's opinion on this more than WZ's.

Easy pass, I don't watch metoo movies.

well, the baby (((boy))) is easily the most important super hero in the whole film.

and the wife/mom has to get bailed out by her husband, who wind up having to get bailed out by their kids.

but they won't miss you. $180 million opening weekend.

I enjoyed it but the “twist” was laughably telegraphed. Original is better but this was still solid as all Pixar films seem to be. My wife cried during the Bao short film. They have really been crushing the short films prior to Pixar movies. Feast was really great.

I agree with you WZ, although the movie focuses a lot on ElastiGirl she totally gets white knighted in the end, hardly a "girl power" moment. The movie was a lot of fun, my wife and kids and I caught it at the Dolby theater in Naperville. I had never seen a movie in one of those theaters before - god DAMN that picture and sound was awesome.
