Which I surmised by just watching the trailers, and which is why I didn’t even bother with it.

I like to have at least one character that you can root for a bit in a show, or else I have no interest. Also see: Silicon Valley, where all the main characters should have been dropped in a vat of sulfuric acid by the third episode.
