interesting little (hrm) biopic that kind of left me flat but had some real nice moments. dinklage does his best herve voice but doesn't look at all like him. it's almost like tattoo cosplay, and andy garcia's attempt at ricardo montalban is almost embarrassingly bad.
but the story is interesting at times. i think dinklage is a better herve than herve in terms of character, but i did hear that herve was very attentive to people (especially kids) who suffered abuse.
this is more about his rise to fame and his horrible partying habits. and somewhat about his depression.
it's not a bad 90 minutes spent, but it isn't something you'll really miss out on.
oh, and there's a really bad music anachronism in there. sometime during the evening they're listening to bush's "everything zen". that came out in 1995. herve died in 1993.
