WWI documentary which uses technology to colorize old footage which makes you feel as if you were there. Veterans telling stories is the backdrop. The documentary doesn't explain much about the history of the war but rather explains the conditions of the British soldiers. It had viewings on 12-18 and 12-27. Not sure when it will be released. I don't think it is necessary to run out and see it in the theater.

Saw it yesterday at 1:00 over in Rosemont. Very good. Worthwhile. The modest sized theater was totally packed. I think my kids were the only people in there under the age of 45.

LOL- I saw a D Day lecture at the library last summer and I was easily the youngest guy in there and I am in my 40s.

After running a search, I wasn’t expecting to find out that this is a Peter Jackson production. Can’t wait to see it - hopefully it surfaces on Netflix.

The 2014 series Apocalypse WW1 is fucking incredible.

The wow factor of the remastered footage wore off after 10 minutes.

I turned it off less than half way through.

The 3D big screen helped.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I had heard it was amazing and figured since it was in the theaters that it was going to be spectacular. It was definitely high quality and powerful but I easily could have waited to see it at home. For any of you interested in the topic, Dan Carlin's 6-part podcast Blueprint for Armageddon is definitely worth listening to.
