new release on Netflix starring Sandra Bullock as a pregnant woman in a world suddenly turned insane by an unseen menace that produces suicidal fear in most who view it. The thing can't get you if you don't see it and doesn't seem to be able to enter homes so existence for the survivors is to remain indoors or with eyes covered when outside.

It was pretty good as a semi horror movie but the story and production could have used some brushing up on plot holes. It's more allegorical, which is becoming an annoying trend in psychological horror these days.

Good movie worth the watch. Probably as good as a movie you would spend money to watch in a crowded theater.

The ending, while logical isn't really satisfying and also has some holes and call me a meatball but I want more exposition of the monster.

Sandra Bullock said she would laugh every time they brought out the monster, so they filmed it without showing it because it was stupid looking. There is an article showing the monster somewhere on the internet. Reminded me of the smoke monster in Lost.

Scariest part of the movie was guys like HawaiiYou, Caller Bob and 312Player would rule the world.

Sure, I want to see the monster but I want to know what it was all about. Everyone seemed to just accept that there was a monster with paranormal skills who couldn't seem to enter an enclosed space or even remove a blindfold from a person when out in the open.

I believe that it needed outdoor elements to power it. Not knowing why it showed up/how it was created kinda sucked. Where were all of the dead bodies? Who maintained the grass for 4 years if all animals except birds were dead?

The movie sucked. It's basically The Happening with a demonic entity instead of plants. It was a shitty concept 10 years ago and still is today.

If this film was put in theaters instead of on Netflix where expectations are lower because it's "free", it would be getting Razzie Nominations.

GREAT acting by the little girl.

Watched a bit of it last night, this is some fucked up shit.

It probably doesn't matter but you might wanna edit or throw a spoiler tag on there.

The Mrs and I watched it.....neither of us liked it. Everyone else in the world seems to love it.

Boring, pointless, and an ending that resolved nothing.

Really? I didn't even put any intentional research in and knew pretty much exactly what the movie was about before seeing it. If you were on FB or Twitter at all between 12/21 and 12/26 you couldn't get away from people talking about it.

That article is hilarious. It's Onion stuff, but like Onion stuff it's meant to imply some of what it's saying is true.

The part I edited out really told you EXACTLY what the movie was about. I dont know. I just dont like things to be ruined for people.

Bad. I don't even know why they used flashbacks since 90% of the movie was a flashback. It could have been run front to back.

Why Sandra was scared of the monster when her eyes were covered (noticeable toward end)? She was wholly unlikeable in this movie.

This movie sucked. The ending was even worse. The monster isn’t even a worry, only the crazy people caused any deaths after the intitial incident. Why run at the end? Just casually stroll... the monster can’t take off blindfolds or anything.
