Yeah.

My mother sang Aida so much when I was a kid that I still hear it, together with her childhood singing partner Mavis Staples, now together with my grandfather being friends with Muddy Waters, I grew up listening to everything.

And I already talked about my love of bluegrass. Thanks granddad.

And I tried to go to a Ramones concert back at U of C. In the seventies.

I'm a mutt in more ways than one.

No. Hank Williams and many others of that era openly credited ALL of the creators they were influenced by. Black, white and other. It was everyone pulling on the same rope.

Old Chicago was a different story though. Sadly.

My comment isn't in relation to this discussion, but it surprises me how often people (not on this list--just in general) overlook or misunderstand this.

I really enjoyed episodes 6 and 7.

Not sure I'll enjoy the finale which covers the mid to late 80s/early 90s as much but the series has been enjoyable overall.
