Stage four means it is in multiple places so it takes longer to figure out where it started.

Unless they are saying you definitely have stage 4 cancer in your (insert body part here) and we are waiting on test results to determine if it has spread to other organs.

I know two different people that were diagnosed in fall and dead by Christmas from cancer. Makes me wonder if they just ignored signs for a long time or just really unlucky. I guess it also depends on the type.
