Just started a rewatch of this show. The first 4 seasons are really good. It slips some in the last 3 seasons, but still is an overall good watch.

Bonus candy for hockey fans is Phil Esposito have a recurring part as an older chief in FDNY.

Probably also the best TV show to deal with 9/11 directly as you feel the ghosts of that day (literally) through Jimmy.

I must have watched the entire series like 3-4 times. Some serious funny shit here plus some very hot women

A favorite episode is where they combine a couple of words to see if cwat or twunt would be more offensive than twat or Caller Bob...

I know some consider him a thief, but I've always liked Leary. That show was appointment television for a couple of years in my pre dvr days.

I tapped out in the last season. The “WTF is going on here?” season premiere was the last straw from the ridiculous sideways direction the story took in the previous season, and I wasn’t going to invest any more time in it. I really did enjoy the first three seasons, though.

Watch the last episode, it is a real nice wrap up of everything

C'mon C'mon by The Von Bondies just popped up on Spotify for me and it made me think of this show. I always wondered why they didn't get Rescue Me by Fontella Bass for their theme song and instead opted for the Von Bondies song.
