female oppression fantasy

The guy has a big earning wife who is perfectly content to let her husband sit at home all day scouring the internet. He already has a perfect existence and to write a story otherwise is beyond believability, other than try to complain about something that doesn't exist.

This story has been told before, even if you accept the above.

Not worth the effort.

I think Olivia Wilde may have done the opposite of what she intended. Florence Pugh seemed a lot happier as a trad wife than she did as an overworked ER doctor.

she could have really turned it on its head and had reality as the man's fantasy world and the fantasy world as his miserable true existence

but the Olivia Wilde and Elizabeth Banks' of the entertainment industry are there to give shallow takes that dumb people will think are smart.

Good song by Tracey Ullman.

I was entertained by it. It's not the most original thing you're ever going to see in your life, but it was well acted, the soundtrack was good, it looked great, and I found myself thinking about the story for several days afterward. It was a much better investment of time than that Knives Out movie.
