There is no chance a 180 lb bear ate 75 pounds of cocaine. A lot of police officers retired early.

I like that the top of the Wikipedia page about the real "cocaine bear" has a redirected from Pablo Escobear (Not to be confused with Pablo Escobar) reference.

I think it's suppose to be a dark cheesy comedy.

Spaulding, how do we know that's not a real bear in the commercials. Anyone could be behind these kinds of commercials. Do we have a video where the bear clearly unmasks itself and shows proof that it is a human and not a real drugged up bear?

Elizabeth Banks says it's a CGI Bear.

The real cocaine bear, Pablo Escobar, is stuffed somewhere in Lexington KY.

Bart the Bear was a great actor. Sir Anthony Hopkins thinks so too.

Saw this movie this weekend with my 19-year-old daughter on a lark. I laughed out loud a couple times and we enjoyed it thoroughly from start to finish. Delightfully silly.

I'm going to look for this. Sometimes you need silly and light.

The scariest thing about this movie was the preview trailer for “Evil Dead Rise”. That movie looks fucked up.

My son went and saw it. He was hoping for fun-bad, but he said it was just mostly bad.

Yeah one of my daughters saw it. She said it made her laugh a couple times but was mainly bad

This made me GTS and the first blurb I looked at was "A woman finds herself in a fight for her life when an ancient book gives birth to bloodthirsty demons that run amok in a Los Angeles apartment building." My mom used to tell me all the time that I can't just run amok and still uses the word more frequently than anyone I know. Made me giggle.

Not at all surprising.

Was there an Oscar movie thread I missed? I feel like I should see that everything everywhere but I don't think I'd like it. I could go for a good new comedy but they don't make those anymore. I've seen about 5 movies since 2005.

I think I’m more excited to see “Cocaine Shark” when it’s released online later this year. Polonia Entertainment at its finest.

i think i dodged a bullet watching the RLM Half in the Bag review on this...because I would've gotten roped into watching...another fucking "sharknado" movie.

i *loathe* movies that take this approach. either play it straight with a goofy premise (like "snakes on a plane" or "tremors", as they mentioned), or make it absolutely ridiculously crazy (like "con air", for instance). but the sitcom, we-know-this-is-bad-isn't-it-hilarious thing just sucks.

just the clips they showed, aside from 1 or 2, looked shoddy and amateur. not on purpose amateur, just..."we don't trust our audience to be smart enough to get the joke" amateur.

so, yeah, that's the closest thing to a review you'll get. i'm not wasting my time on it.
