just bought Transformers, loved the audio/video. Recommend me a movie (or two) in that vein that will give my speakers a workout and make my plasma shine. Prefer action movies, mostly for pre- and post- Bear game get-togethers.

Saving Private Ryan is one of the best big screen/sound system movies, but probably not good group/party fare.

Maybe the original Jurassic Park or Twister. I remember those both being experiences in the theater.

I didn't love the last Batman movie, but I'll be damned if it wasn't awesome to watch in HD. Pirates of the Caribbean is pretty cool in HD too. Wall-E is a sleeper. When the new Star Trek comes out I think that's going to be a must buy.

I have a 65 inch monster Mitsubishi rear projector. It's about 7 years old & still looks great!
I enjoyed Mission Impossible 3 in Blu-Ray on there. The last INDY JONES movie in Blu-Ray looked great,too. Rambo_4 sounds like a good choice as Mr. H mentioned above. I usually play regular DVD's on my Blu_ray. The picture quality is excellent,even though my set has composite & not the HDMI connection. HDMI enhances sound but I was told picture quality is equal to composite.

I had a mitsu 52" DLP, still do. Composite will be equal to HDMI on a 1080i tv, but on a 1080p you will see a difference.
