I was dissapointed that Russell didn't win the big prize, he was
obviously the best player this season and maybe one of the
best ever on this show. I was kind of disgusted at his cockiness
at the end of the show when he was asking the other two mock
questions and just swinging in the hammock, reflecting on how
great a player he was. What bugs me the most is how the jury
members try to make it some sort of moral issue. It is a game
people, and you eventually have to step over and on others to
get to the end. This is why it has been the most sucessful and
enduring reality series ever. Get off your high horses and give
the man his due for playing a brilliant game. He wasn't the smartest
or strongest but just knew how to play the game.

That bothers me too. That's one reason next season will be better.

Supposedly Russell filmed the Heroes and Villains season right after Samoa.

Its already been confirmed so yes, we have another dose of Russell to look forward to.

Unfortunately, based on the way he played the game, I'm guessing he lasts at most 2-3 trips to tribal counsel this go around. Similar to the first all star season with Amazon Rob who was immediately targeted because of how well he played the game the first go around.

Is there any idea of who else is on this all star show? Is it just folks who have been on the show since the last all star one or is it folks that go clear back to the beginning?

I don't expect Russell to last very long on this one either.

I think it has people going back to season 1. I guess Richard from Season 1 tried to get permission from a judge to film it, but was told no.

I also can't see Russell lasting very long next time.

We should start a thread/pool trying to guess the cast. Hopefully someone more skilled than me can come up with a link or list of all the previous cast members including a head shot so we can remember who was who. 10 villans and 10 heroes. Russell is in for sure on the villain side. Rich Hatch is out due to legal problems. Ethan is out due to medical problems ( I would assume).

I bet James the Grave Digger and Colby both make the good guy side.

Jonny Fairplay on the villians side.

Jonny Fairplay would be one of the first normally thought of being on there, but didn't he basically take himself out the first week of the last all star game?

yep, I wonder if Burnett is gonna hold that against him. They should, it was a halfass move on Fairplay's part. But, my guess is Fairplay will come back "re-committed" to winning this time and they'll give him another chance. Unless, of course, he still feels the same way and just doesn't want to do it. If I remember correctly, last time his wife (former America's Top Model castmember) had just delivered a baby so that was his reason for quitting. A few years later and who knows, he might just want to get out of the house for a month or two :)
