I enjoyed many aspects of the film, but as a whole I thought it was a little lackluster. The aspects of films like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, and even Jackie Brown that continuously ring out to me are the scenes that require the audience to interpret what is being offered. This aspect of a film is effective because no two people will have the same opinion, which I find to be extrememly entertaining when discussing the scenes later on. Basterds was pretty much cut and dry as to what was going on, which isn't always a bad thing, but I would have liked to see a little more "uncertainty" in the storyline.
