Part of it was filmed along my Shortcut 14C on the way home from Buffalo Grove to St. Charles - the cemetary along the frontage road south of Route 20.

Went to see it yesterday. Not too bad although the Freddy makeup was not as good as the original. I liked the little plot twist they tried to throw and the shift in how the reality shifted when they went into dreamland. If it was a first time seeing it I would say not bad but with my previous knowledge of the landscape I can not give it that high a rating. The best kill was the first one, the rest Meh.Cast was okay the main girl not only hot but held her own vs Kruger. Very ham fisted setup for sequels.

2 1/2 out of 5

I went yesterday. Nothing to see here. Jackie Earl Haley is no Robert Englund. He is disturbing enough to look at without the makeup. When he came back to the real world and you already had his pimp hand chopped off, why not keep him alive. His superpowers do not exist at that point and he was completely disabled. It would have taken the whole Kruger story in a cool direction...parents all go on trial for vigilante justice, Freddy gets studied.

Police would notify him of the crime and read him his rights before putting a guy in a squad car for that type of murder.
