I saw it last night...meh...
It was ok. The new bond is decent, the bond girls were decent...there were a couple of pretty sweet action scenes, and one brutal torture scene...
I'd say it's a definite DVD movie, unless you're a Bond fanatic.

I like Bond movies but they are generally best viewed on Sunday nights in February.

I saw Casino Royale. I liked it but it did seem to make a bit of a divergence from the Bond franchise. This one was more violent. Also the villan did not have a purpose that was as globally significant as most Bond flicks. There was not as much of a reliance on cool gadgets, which I always liked. Bond was also not as overtly sexual as he was in the past. Oh, he did have two flings in this movie, but one was for a specific purpose and the other was true love.

This movie could have stood on it's own as an action flick. I would prefer Bond and the story to be more contextual.

Still, it is definitely worthy of plunking down $7.50 (or less before 6 o'clock).
