"Office" thoughts...

good, but not great. did not have to be an hour. and that brings up my latest pet peeve with NBC...what is with this insistence on elongating a 30 minute TV show and thinking that it's going to be better? The Office is meant to be a 30 minute show, and if tonight's show was a half hour, i think it would've been better...some of it just seemed to drag.

there were some really funny bits, i will say. "i'm not superstitious, i'm just a little stitious" was a good line.

i was hoping there'd be something more with karen. i thought it was kind of a cop out...oh well.

Like the pep talk to Michael when he was saying he couldn't finish the race? A little much. I still loved it, though. I think you're going to see more from the bit part characters this season now that Pam and Jim are together.

yeah that is pretty inevitable, now that the season's in its 4th season...i like that ryan howard's kind of going to fill the role jan had.

there was definitely funny stuff in there, i just thought it didn't need to be an hour.

Will it always be an hour, or was it just a special deal with the season premier?

Just a speical deal. Although, I'm sure the season finale will be an hour as well.

I believe the first four episodes of the season will all be one-hour shows. I thought the season premiere was good, not great.

That sounds right, I think I heard that. That seems like a bit much.

I was glad they were able to have a couple of Creed moments in the show. Overall, I would have given the whole show about a 8/10.

Next week's show Ryan returns to the Office, which should be good.

While being a leader you make more money.

I will have to agree and say it was a half hour too long. But I am glad I know what the face of rabies looks like.

yesterday's 'office' was excellent. i really like the ryan storyline between he and michael and his weird relationship with kelly.

creed is a scene stealer.

this season, it seems that toned michael down a smidge, which is a good thing.

Did you miss the last half of the show when he drove the car into the lake and went to get the gift basket back?

Overall, very good episode. I also like the Ryan/Michael dynamic.

The scene with Ryan talking to Kelly in the kitchen about her making up the pregnancy was funny. She says no it wasn't a big deal she made it up and is getting mad and then Ryan says we'll never get back together and she says in a sweet voice "but why'? Good stuff. Anyone watch Earl? Great episode last night. I caught a re-run a couple weeks back that had me crackin up. It was the one where he works in an appliance store and they re-enact the scene from Rudy at the end.

Office and Earl were funny last night, but I was a little disapointed with 30 Rock. It wasn't bad, but not great either...

i did say "smidge". Season 3 michael would have reacted much differently, much more over-the-top.

after he recovered the basket, i think the anger he displayed was almost a normal human reaction. the bleeping of "f*cking" back at the office was genius.

i agree. after the episode, they mentioned that 30 rock will have a lot of famous people in it. i'm a little worried. "special guests" rarely bring the best out of a show.

I thought all three shows were really good last night.

Earl-It was great great when Randy passed the guard's exam with a 55%, the highest score in a long time. 8.5/10

30Rock-The part where Liz was crying to Jerry was pretty funny. And the stuff with Tracey and Kenneth (or as Tracey calls him Kennef) was great as always. 9/10

Office-Creed once again stole the show. A pretty solid episode all around. 8.5/10

finally got to see "the office", going to nbc.com

i focking hate doing that...the repetitive ads you have to watch...I saw the same cars.com 20 second ad and the same "Aliens" DirecTV ad like 5 times.

But I thought the episode was 10 times better than the premiere. To me, that should have been the premiere. But seriously, enough with the hour long episodes...unnecessary, and it's gonna lead to overkill.

But the episode had some very big laughs. "You need lessons in awesome" and "I'd like to see a web site offer gift baskets to people" were two of my favorite lines in the episode.

"30 Rock" - "Milf Island". Biggest laugh. Otherwise, it was pretty okay. Nothing special, but consistently funny in my opinion. I liked it. And I liked that it was only a half hour long. Seinfeld was pretty good in it, I liked his line "What's happened to this network?". And Baldwin as always, great.

Tonight's lineup should be a good one:

The Office- Meredith returns.

30 Rock- Kenneth tries to get Tracey and his wife back together. I could do without the guest spot by Will Arnett.

My Name is Earl- A look back at Earl's life before he cleaned up his act.

I thought that all three episodes were solid this week. Best episode of the Office yet this year.
