Saw the trailer for this one over the weekend so I played the extended version and this looks pretty damn funny.

Woody Harrelson plays the bad ass country zombie killer and Emma Stone (Superbad, House Bunny) is also in it.

Looks promising in a field of shit coming out.

I just hope they treat this serious subject with the right amount of seriousness. We are over due for a Zombie outbreak.I suggest everyone get the Survival guide put out by Mr Maxx Brooks, it could save your life when the Zombies come.

Well according to the movie "The Serpent and The Rainbow", the zombie powder has been around for a couple of decades now.. :drunken:

I like a good zombie movie but a zombie movie with the right touch of comedy - classic.

FIDO was a perfect example.

Zombies On A Plane - no.

I quote Shawn of the Dead all the time. It's a cult comedy classic in my opinion. But ya gotta like Simon Pegg to like this one.

I'm with you but the next movie these guys did - and the name escapes me - was just god awful.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'm tired of zombie/vampire movies.

Hot Fuzz. I love zombie movies but hated Shaun of the Dead. For a great zombie movie I recommend Return of the Living Dead

D-Dave,
Your "Field of Shit" comment was dead on. When big budget movies go away so do I.
I do want to see BIGFAN with Patton Oswalt.

JP - I understand that the fall months are typically slower months at the box office, but there isn't anything I am looking forward to seeing other than Zombieland.

I guess the movie for Bioshock got pushed back or shelved due to the high budget requirements - that blows big ass.

Absolutely LOVED that book/survival guide.

Would make an awesome series on HBO or something that would allow them to be R-rated....a 2 hour movie can not do it justice.

I've never understood how Boondock Saints became such a cult classic. When they made it, they shelved it because it was so awful. I think they were right the first time.

The amount of one-liners alone from that movie make it a classic.

If sports media were zombies and vampires

Jurko is zombie and Giangreco is a vampire.

Zombies get no respect, are viewed as clowns.
Vampires are perceived by most to be sexy, but when you get right down to it, they suck.

Jurko > Giangreco
Zombies > Vampires

Agreed. One of my favorite movies. I went into it with zero expectations though which I'm sure helped. People who are just now watching it might be disappointed hearing all of their friends hype it forever. It is probably not strong enough to live up to lofty expectations going in.

genuinely excited for this... someone said there is a major cameo in the middle that is an absolute riot. I'm doing my best to avoid finding out who this is prior to seeing the movie.

LAUGH RIOT!

Great stuff.

Loved the 'pop up video like' RULES for Zombies.

Nice to see Ned Scheebely working again too. Too bad he died taking a dump.

There's also a cameo of a long haired Harry Teinowitz at the beginning of the movie being chased down by a Zombie, and enter Surviving in Zombieland Rule #1: Cardio!

Easily one of the best movies I've seen this year. Laugh out loud funny throughout, really great cast, Michael Cera light was awesome in it. Awesome soundtrack as well. Go see it, you won't regret it

So I caught this this morning.

First...is it possible to out-Michael Cera Michael Cera?

Jesse Feinberg said...YES.

This movie is a fun ride...misses a few opportunities but not enough to make this a waste of time. A lot of good jokes, some great laugh out loud moments ("You got a purdy mouth...") and I'm glad I watched it.

I was very hesitant...as I'm an avid "Shaun of the Dead" fan, thought this was a rip off of that along with "Near Dark" but it makes its own way and does a fine job.

Plus...I'm in love with Emma Stone. Probably the sexiest up and comer out there since Scarlet Johansson.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

On a side note--blowing the cameo...kind of out of line. Knowing who it was definitely took away from the hilarity of it. But still...BM was great.

Also...Woody is an underrated comic actor.
