First teaser trailer...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ashLaclKCik

Two things:

1) that scene with Mr. White..."you're a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond"...fucking awesome...

2) Christoph Waltz as Blofeld reveal (no, they probably still won't officially say it, and maybe they'll not actually call him by that name, but it's even more obvious now that he's the head of the organization) was perfect...shrouded in shadow as to not reveal his face, old school style..."Welcome James...it's been a long time...now finally, here we are". Alluding to how long it's been since we've laid eyes on good old Blofeld...nicely played.

I've recently got hooked on the James Bonding podcast from some of the Nerdist guys. So I'm about 6 movies deep into an entire rewatch.

It's been both trivia-filled and entertaining so far.

Love the early James Bond movies.
"Do you expect me to talk, Goldfinger?"
"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."

You can keep the ones with that Pierce Brosnan.

These guys are both huge Bond-philes. Really huge.

They bring guests in also. Their crossover with "How Did This Get Made" on A View To A Kill was excellent.

It was the 80's. Mistakes were made.

I liked View to a Kill.
Grace Jones lifting the KGB guy over her head and throwing him? Just great.

Click on the gear-looking settings button to the bottom right of the video (near the fullscreen button) and under the speed menu, choose .5

I tried .25 but that didn't play any sound.

Oh man that was even better.
So with Firefox that didn't work at all. I had to load it into explorer. Odd.

Yeah Jimmy, I know the context in the film is because of the "secret from James past" or however the press releases have described the movie, but in the context of the first trailer for the film...well, I don't see any way they stumbled on that accidentally.

I assumed that was just a reference to the fact that they haven't legally been able use SPECTRE and the associated characters for so long.

Sorry. I guess that didn't seem too spoilery to me since it's the name of the movie.

I thought you guys were hinting at something else.

That came off wrong...I was agreeing with you as to why they put that in there...

...I believe Jimmy is reading into something they've hinted at in both the press releases and this teaser as far as the connection between Bond and Waltz's character.

Looks good. Hope it trips my trigger more than Skyfall, which was beautifully shot but a ridiculous story.

I've said it before, but I had much higher hopes when they rebooted the franchise with Casino Royale, but it didn't take long to fall back into the old, tired formula that I thought they were trying to get away from.

I feel like they are turning hard back toward the formula. The Craig ones have been very anti-formula.

SPOILERS ON A 3 YEAR OLD MOVIE

Looking at the end of last movie - introduced Moneypenny, went thrugh the double-quilted door to get a mission from M.

I fully expect SPECTRE to start with the gunshot, then a cold open, credits, Craig throwing his hat on a coat hanger, sexual tension with Moneypenny, and getting a mission from M, then some gadgets from Q.

It would be the first Craig movie to start in the Bond tradition.
