I will try to avoid spoilers....

Most of the movie was ok. The middle was a bit too long w/ the Range Rover commercial. That was completely unnecessary.

I forgot they brought back Sepctre and Blofeld in the previous movie. I really didnt like that as it was more like Austin Powers. But I guess they did it in a subtle way.

A lot of homage to the earlier films. Only Bond fans will pick up on this.

Then the last 10 min......

AMAZING! SAVED THE ENTIRE MOVIE AND CAPPED OFF THE CRAIG ERA WITH A BANG!

I have read a lot of ppl don't like the last 10 min of the movie but I loved it. They paid a lot of respect to OHMSS in this and the ending was just perfect.

This movie put Craig as the #1 Bond for me. Connery was a man of his times but Craig is a man of his/our times. He's exactly what a spy would be like.

Other things I liked....opening sequence was cool.

Our theater did not have the Universal Moon thing for the gunbarrell. It just went into it. Maybe a US thing?

And the entire twist on the 'double-o' was brilliant! I won't spoil it but just brilliant.

If you're a Bond fan you will like it. If it wasn't for the last 10 min I'd probably say it was ok and campy but the ending was just perfect.

My wife of 17 years today (yesterday) saw it at Regal IMAX in Lincolnshire today (yesterday).
I pocketed a couple Heineken tall cans to pay tribute. I know it was long, but it didn't feel like an almost 3 hour film. I got a little emotional at certain points. Daniel Craig is *THE* James Bond ASAIC. But $42 for a movie that didn't really benefit from the IMAX, save yourself some money and see it on a regular screen. I'd suggest you see it however you want. It was great, but sad.

Never Say Never is better than any Craig Bond film.

I actually met him, Klaus Maria Brandauer, in person.

I was disappointed. Some good moments, but pretty weak overall. I’d rank Craig’s films as Casino Royale 1st by a mile, then Skyfall 2nd by a mile, then the other three interchangeable.

It was OK.

About an hour too long.

The drawn out emoting was annoying. Am I the only one who finds it a bit disingenuous that he has found the love of his life for whom he will throw everything away TWICE within a few short years?

I didn't stay through the credits, did it say "James Bond will return..." like they do after all the others?

Not to go all Annie Wilkes but the current production team hasn't really earned the right to kill off James, seeing how many times the role has transitioned not only in actors but in character.

You are not. The appeal of Bond is his sociopathy.

I dont get where people are so sure he was killed.

It never was clearly shown. The way it was open-ended means they can find a way to write how he stayed alive. It's done in movies all the time.

of course

I think we all know they aren't killing off a billion dollar franchise. The name James Bond is as synonymous with the role as 007. If you don't have James Bond and the entirety of the character that has been developed for 50 years, all you have is Jason Bourne or Black Widow.

So, whether it is portrayed as a restart or everyone is asked to disregard the last 10 mintues, it has to be Bond. It just can't be a new character being assigned 007. I think they recognized that throughout the movie that 007 is just a number but Bond is Bond.

I don't know if they were trying to soft open the idea of a woman being Bond with the character of Nomi. If so, it didn't work. They didn't really give her a chance. Costuming was bad as Bond always looks great (no matter the actor) even when dressed casually and he never dresses down for an office visit. Meanwhile, she is wearing jumpers and casual pants like it was Friday dress down day at th office. She wasn't given a chance physically as even the Cuban spy stood out more in their scenes. She was also written much too deferentially. It probably can work but they really have to reconsider their approach.

I enjoyed it. They really telegraphed that it would be a reimagining of OHMSS.

From the car, to the clear line in the beginning with them in the car.

I have to mull it over before I give a full review.

Will Tyrone be a a narcissistic sociopath? Because James "evolved" and is no longer 007 anyway. So maybe the black guy will get the leeway that made 007 so interesting in the first place.

Why would I say that? Hopefully the next Bond is a black transgendered women who fights threats to national security through activism and non-violence.

i liked it for what it was. i've never been the biggest bond fan, a lot of them seem to run together and share so many similar plots that i usually just mildly like them.

this one doesn't stand out from the rest but i still enjoyed it. i didn't realize it was as long as it was, so i guess it kept my interest throughout. and good god arna de armas is quite a thing of beauty. i first remember her from "knock knock". shame she was only in one segment but it was probably my favorite of the whole movie.

daniel craig was a great bond, especially a later-aged bond. i think i read one review where by this picture, he just looked "pissed off that someone would attack him" and beat the fuck out of them or shoot the fuck out of them until they were dead.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

There were some good parts, but it just didn’t really grab me like the previous outings.

I’d say above average.

It was a mess. A beautifully made, confusing mess. Too much going on. Zero need for two 007s. And Blofeld was an afterthought.

I'm midway through watching this again. It's so much better than the first time I watched it in pieces. I enjoyed it the second time I watched it. Go figure.

And it's amazing that Amazon probably put together a nice bundle to have the exclusive rights to this 60 year old series. (And yeah I enjoyed the documentary about Bond music :D )

Bond music is amazing. The original stuff they use. Majesty's theme is fantastic. Plus it had Louis Armstrong in it. Probably one of the most underrated movies of all time.

OF ALL TIME!!!

Listening to the music brought back memories of my childhood. My aunt got me hooked on the movies around four years old. Doomed I tell you, DOOMED!

The other day was the 60th anniversary of Dr. No and in an interview Broccoli said they have not even begun the search for the new Bond yet. I thought that was an odd thing to say and I don't believe her. They should just choose Henry Cavill. Maybe he's asking for too much and this is their way of tamping him down.

They did say it would not be a reboot with a young guy. It's going to be another guy around 35-40 or it wouldn't make sense for the character. I agree with that.
