i agree with both of you. but they've had quitters in the past, and they've been back on the reunion. shame.

I may just quit on this show. The only reason I would watch is to see
the old lady steal this thing. No likeable or unlikeable characters. I'm
thinking they need to revamp this franchise a bit. I'd like to see a group
of washed up or retired athletes go at it. A lot of egos and attitudes might
pep it up a bit.

Next season is Russell vs. Boston Rob. That should be fun.

I'd tune in for that if they could like pick teams from former casts and the captains
couldn't be voted out until the final 8 or something. I still like the idea of former
athletes or something. Definitely not celebrities, that is when you know the show
is unwatchable ( like it is bordering on now ).

This group of dopes has made a strategic error by letting Sash advance so far in the game, especially with an idol. It will be pretty difficult for him to lose this one, I think.

I'm not sure Sash is as well-liked by the jury as he thinks he is. He certainly seems to think his only endgame threat is Jane, but I think he could lose to others as well. Benry, Dan, and Fabio did not seem particularly crazy about him tonight even when they were trying to get his vote, and I doubt creating a fake alliance with them improved that perception (this by the way was an extremely careless mistake last night). Wannabe strategists Brenda and Marty might be inclined to vote for him, but Sash did little to save the former (his closest ally) and made promises he couldn't keep to the latter. Alina is not particularly fond of him and Kelly and Na'onka's jury votes will probably be just as unpredictable as their in-game behavior.

If Sash is smart, he will try to arrange a final three composed of himself, Dan and Chase or Fabio. If he can succeed in doing so, he will easily win. With only a few challenges remaining, he has a great advantage given his possession of the idol.

How many more opportunities does he have to use the idol?

I think there are three elimination challenges left and I would be shocked if he didn't win at least one of them.

Chase is too stupid.

Dan and Fabio would be the right move

Another wild tribal council.

Can someone explain to me why Jane suggested her, Dan, and Fabio vote for Hollie and make it a tie vote and then she did not even vote for Hollie but for Sash who had an idol?

Agreed.

I can't believe that Jeff sat there and told them flat out "THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO SURVIVE" and then those dopes did not do it! Force a tie vote, and survive the tiebreaker, and you are all in the final 4 maybe the final 3. Like I said, DOPES!

Fabio and Dan aren't dead yet. Chase or Sash could flip. They can't let Holly get to the end either.

i agree, drummin don. this has to be one of the dumbest batches of "survivors" in the history of the show. but i think that may be why it's made for some of the best tribal councils ever. nobody can keep their mouth shut. it's like a jerry springer show every time these idiots get together.

cannot wait for this finale...JUST for the councils. i've had little interest in any other part of the show.

Well if Chase and Sash were nervous about those three actually voting for Holly, then one of them could have transferred the hidden immunity idol to her, and then they still would have been able to vote out Jane. So maybe Jane was thinking that Sash would do something like that. Maybe she just voted Sash because she is pissed off at him in general and wants people to vote him out?

I think it would have been a marginal victory at best if Dan and Fabio were to switch on to Holly... say they form an alliance with Jane -- they are going to lose to her at the end anyhow. I would say Sash would have had a shot versus Jane, but that would be about it. It was a good time to vote her out.

Sash and Chase both played their idols before the vote as it was their last chance
to do so. Any vote against them would not count, which made Jane's vote pretty
useless. I think at that point she wasn't thinking very clearly. She was very angry
and bitter about how her alliance had failed her. They made the right move as they
would have possibly lost to her in the challenges and certainly would have lost in the
jury vote. Hopefully she'll pick up the $100,000 in the finale. I'd be on the lookout for
Fabio if he is able to survive a little longer. The alliance of 3 is on shaky ground. Dan
looks like he wished he would have been voted off weeks ago. He is not even a factor
physically, but possibly mentally he has something left. I'll tune in for the finale but I
am not expecting anything too great. Fabio and Holly look to be the strongest to me.
Chase could have been a factor if he knew how to play the game a bit better.

T-Bone, one point of clarification. They actually play hidden immunity idols AFTER the vote, but before the votes are read.

Thanks for clearing that up. Shows how much attention I acutally paid to the whole process.

If Sash makes it to the finals, I can't see him losing. He's a complete ass, but it's remarkable that he has been able to advance this far in the game despite the fact that his original alliance evaporated. Of course, his survival is merely further evidence that the rest of the players are a bunch of morons...

I think you're right about Dan and Fabio not switching up. They would only have one real chance to get rid of her before the finals, and she's actually proven to be an immunity threat.

As for Jane's Sash vote, I heard there was some sort of argument between them that caused the producers to turn off the cameras at tribal council. This story seems to be supported by the extra video of voting confessions, as both Jane and Sash's votes appear to get cut off while they're in the middle of saying something. Then again, Dan or Fabio may have simply indicated they weren't going to allign with her before or during tribal council, so she could have just decided to cast a spite vote.

well good for fabio. and i'm glad they've made this rule about the quitters. i just think they could've started WITH purple kelly and nay.

interesting that jeff probst got to kind of plug bradshaw's Fox NFL show while being on a rival network.

I think the 'redemption island' idea could be cool. Although I doubt it would have much impact on the final results unless it's one of the last people sent there that gets to come back. Any player that lasted there for a long time would probably be so far out of the loop and alliances that getting votes in the end would be hard.

It would be funny if they voted off the same person 6 times and they kept coming back.

I don't think they keep coming back. I think there is a one time "comeback" at the final 4 or 5 or 6.....? Otherwiae, whoever has won the battle on redemption island lives "alone" there. That could also be interesting to watch if someone does last there for a week or two. Sure, the camera crews would be around, but that's still a while to go "solo" in whatever condiitons they are in. Not quite the movie Castaway, but still interesting.

I skipped the reunion show so I missed all the stuff about next season. Can someone recap what was said about redemption island and the new rule about quitters?

CBS will have the right to totally remove quitters from the jury (and your tv set)

Next year once someone is voted off they will go to an island, exposed to the elements and with the same food as the remaining people. When the next person is voted off, they will go to the island and have some sort of competition where the winner gets to go back in the game.
