I love dogs and I don't have a problem with this tactic but I think it's a bit crazy that a dog can sniff around a car and then sit down next to the door and the cops then have a right to search your vehicle.

How can you not prove that they just train dogs to run around a car and then sit next to the door?

Cops can train a dogs to give false positives so they can search without a warrant all of the time. Welcome to our police state, where your rights do not matter.

Amazingly, they always seem to find something in the car when the dog does it on Live PD. Maybe the lesson here should be not to ride dirty and don't put your heroin in your gas station pop cup.

Yeah, there's no evidence from the show that the dogs are ever wrong.

Just seems weird to me.

In reality, the dogs accuracy is about a coin flip. My guess is that the cops on the show aren't giving the dogs the command to provide a false positive to serve as the pretense for an invasive and illegal search.

Veteran crime reporter and DC special police officer Tom Morris, Jr. once noted on the show that if a person in your car tokes or get drugs on their clothes before getting in your car, particles from the drugs will fall off your clothes, etc. onto your seats and the dogs can pick that up.

a buddy whos dad is a k9 cop said that these dogs can pick up drug scents that are days old. that there are a some times where they find absolutely nothing but its ultimately at the discretion of the officer when to pull the dog out or not. he said he is very picky about when they get the dog out. they ask pointed questions that are designed to offer tells of whether or not they should. he said he picks up on those questions on live pd all the time. its like poker. he's like i don't like just getting the dog out, the owners of the vehicle need to be really screaming "theres something in the car" for me to get the dog out.

The first step is admitting it.

Watching an episode the following week instead of doing something else. Or associating with Dr. Ken.

Most perps wearing NFL garb on this show appear to be Cowboys fans, and that is even if you exclude perps from El Paso.

Have to love a gas station convenience store clerk who drinks the liquor instead of just selling it.

Perp: Alcoholism. I'm sorry.

Very. But as long as the captioning was true, it seems like suicide by cop.

Last night was an "all-timer".

Crazy chase segment
Pet snakes
Hot Fries and soy sauce
Kevin Hart's faster-talking cousin

And I'm not even done watching yet.

I'm intrigued by the Hot Fries and soy sauce.

It sounds so disgusting that it must be good.

You mean the guy who blew out a tire and eventually was on the oncoming traffic side of the divided highway? That was awesome.

The pet snake chick got caught twice by two separate cops that were both broadcasting live pd. How crazy is that.

Hot sauce was apparently just trying to get arrested to promote a record label.

Kevin hart was trying his best to talk his way out of being arrested.... but the cop that got him was frigging huge. Looked like a pro wrestler or something.

I would not cross that 17th-degree black belt that "takes care of business".

He looks sleepy and drunk but I'll bet that's part of the discipline.
