There were in ancient times. Then Dart Bane set the rule of two to only allow for a master and an apprentice. It allowed for a better concentration of power, as opposed to all of the Sith Lords trying to kill each other all the time.

Got my ticket for an 8pm showing tomorrow. I asked out of curiosity when the theater would open for seating. He didn't know for sure
but he was pretty sure the 7pm showings which were sold out were opening 5 hours early.

When I checked Rotten Tomatoes this morning, it was at 97%. There were only 3 negative reviews, none from critics I've ever heard of.

yea I haven't been to a movie theatre in 8 years, but I might have to break that streak for this one.

Any prediction on how long this stays at the IMAX theaters? I'd like to put it off till the last possible moment in order to avoid as much of the crowds as possible.

I'm just going to see it in 2D. Abrams was on Stern and said he didn't really care for 3D movies, so I figure he didn't really do anything special for the 3D version. I figure 2D will be less crowded anyway.

I always found the whole notion of "Sith" stupid. In the original series, there were good Jedi (Obi Wan) and bad jedi (Darth Vader). I never understood why it couldn't continue that way or why Sith had to be introduced at all as another dark-side-of-the-force creature? However, the Emperor character was believable for being the personification of the "dark-side" and Darth Vader's mentor.

Harrison Ford was great in that bit. You would think he was really annoyed @ Stephen's antics, as if it weren't a bit.

I also love when he tells JJ, "Say hi to Gary Fisher".

Going to see this in a bit, I have high hopes. Probably will be a good movie....but will it be a good Star Wars movie?
