i liked the episode, i like the direction this show has taken. i really do think, though, that TV viewers may come to realize that the load was blown with the red wedding, and a lot of people i know that watch the show seem to keep wanting something like that to happen again. i have to believe the writers wish some of those dead characters weren't killed off and could have taken them in a different direction like they have the ones that are still alive.

^ agreed ...I'm still pissed avoid Ned stark getting killed. It should have been his daughter , that dumb bitch sansa .

Two characters who kinda suck n get way too much screen time are Ramsey Bolton n theon greyjoy .

I've since recanted my sansa-john snow hookup . I just want to see cersai die slowly ..very pleased to see Bron get that antidote n stick around.

Due to the sheer volume of characters here I have forgotten who the young man who joined the religious cult and turned Cersei in
actually is. Was he a servant that knows of her or a distant relative? Anyone that could help me out here I would appreciate it.

Lancel her cousin. When Jaime was in the Riverlands Cersei still needed to get some.

TV viewers are likely surprised by how sluggish this season has been relative to previous ones. If only they knew how much quicker the show is comparred to AFFC and DWD. Shoot, this one season combines both books.

-I liked the Stannis scene. Further enforced how principled he is and how he loves his daughter. Unfortunately, this seals up there will be no Manderly as Onion Knight is marching with him.
-The Wall plot is very different. It's the storyline I've been most invested in even though I know how it's going to end (wonder if they start WoW and we find out about the aftermath this season). Aemon suggesting baby Sam goes south sets up a possible journey for Sam to train to be a Maester.
-Lady Olenna is great. Both of her scenes were excellent. Not often does she get stymied like she did by the High Sparrow.
-High Sparrow was good as well with his scene with Cersei.
-Dany/Mereen sucks so much. Glad they fast forwarded that storyline so Tyrion and her have met. He can save her shit story. However, where is the show going compared to the books.

Bummed Arya's story hasn't really been fleshed out.

Also Dorne sucks.

i'm not too impressed with the dorne stuff and actually enjoyed that more in the books. for unknown reasons, i get tired of the accent for one thing. but the scenes just seem dull.

i think the season's been decent--it seemed to stall a few episodes ago but since the greyscale attack scene, the show's pace has picked up nicely.

the olenna/high sparrow scene was my favorite. i liked that they both admit what drives them, and hold nothing back...including their physical ailments (which illustrated a sort of bond as well).

I found the early parts of this season to be boring but now that they already have Tyrion with Dany I'm getting more innerested. All of that ADWD Mereen masturbating is bypassed. The show is really emphasizing the kid squire of Jon Snow. Methinks he will be the one to do the deed. I hope they get the Winterfell battle resolved this season

Thanks very much. I don't really remember the character from early in the series.

SPOILER ALERT

Been a couple years since I read the books, but wasn't it left unclear at the end of book 5 if Jon Snow had lived or died?

But yea, I would assume that that little punk will be one of the stabbers.

In the books he's not dead, but also doesn't have a significant part to play in the story going forward. He just kinda gets a happy ending and that's the end of that.

SPOILER-ISH

Yes. There is a chance, depending on what you believe from the book, it's likely.

Yesterday's episode was glorious.

My favorite battle scene from any season. I thought it was cooler than Blackwater or Wildling attack against The Wall. The zombie children were creepy as hell. That Wildling woman seemed cool as hell and then boom! eaten by zombie children.

I'm surprised we're getting so much Dany airtime. As expected, Tyrion has made her scenes interesting. He's such a good orator.

Nice of the writers to give Arya's storyline some play. Her plot has played out very slowly and they're finally advancing her forward.

I'm curious as to what's going to happen with Sansa and Theon now that she knows her brothers are alive. I'm assuming Ramsay is going to die on his raid of Stannis. Melisandre probably lights him on fire or something. Then Brienne saves Sansa from Winterfell?

I think 2 more episodes of seeing her in jail should get get the point across and continuation of the dragging out of this show.....

At least they had some warring and giants this last episode and an actual forming of an alliance between dinklage and Blondie.

This is how every show on HBO goes. They start off with a bang, then just start draggin it out...then a finale that doesnt live up to the show....and I am guessing that happens here....hope I am wrong...Soprano's...the former KING of HBO shows....season 1-3 great, after that...strange drug out episodes and then the worst finale in viewing history.

Shut up.

Benioff, Weiss and Martin don't say to themselves "bigfan has the attention span of a six year old; how do we make this show appeal more to him."

They are telling a story. Sometimes, Queens don't stay in prison for only a day.

Great scene and battle, really got the point across and I great way to "reintroduce" the White Walkers.

Also...I guess Valaryian steel is as good as dragon glass?

As for Jon Snow and his future, I guess it was left up in the air as to his fate but you then take a look at the main title of the book....

Humans are gonna need a super duper team up of Stannis and Dany vs. White Walkers.

Wasn't Dany's dream about seeing a hole in the roof of the Throne Room with snow falling down? (Could be ashes?)

She gotta get her shit together and bring them dragons east. Can't break the wheel from half a world away. Duh!?!!
