I liked it. But the plot makes no sense. They had to make it this way I guess. Since we know the future.

But Kenobi had a chance to kill vader. Vader had a chance to kill Kenobi before Kanobi had the upper hand. Neither one did it.

But it was fun seeing Darth Vader again.

I liked little Princess Leia. She was a little cutie. I liked the way she would run.

Then the lightsaber battles. In all the star wars scenes. Nobody is ever made to make contact with the body. You would think somebody would. I know. It's a movie/show.

There has been some kills in this star wars franchise, obviously. We've seen them. But I always laugh when nobody is able to make contact with the body.

Killing spree would have happened with or without Vader. Third brother looked more then willing to take over for Vader if he died.

What? His whole purpose in life is to protect the children. He literally gives his life so Luke can become the Jedi his father could not. Anakin, Luke and Leia are what brought him out from under the rocks. He absolutely would have been thinking of them while fighting Vader. If he kills Vader, then he can not be the martyr for Luke to keep him on the path of light. The emperor would have told Luke his mentor killed his father, pushing Luke over to the darkside. Remember how close Luke already was to giving into the darkside of the force. Kenobi dying was instrumental to keep him on the Jedi path. He didn't grow up learning about the Jedi or surrounded by them. All he knew is what he was told by Kenobi and later Yoda.

Finally, it seems like Qui Gon was visible to Obi Wan because he had recommitted himself to the force, not because of any special balancing act.

You miss the whole point of how the force works. It always balances out. That is why Anakin was born and turned to the dark and why Luke was the savior of the light. You see it later with Ben Solo and then Rey turning the tides back to light.

1) The Emperor recruits Vader due to his immense power. He certainly would be tyrannical without Vader, but Vader is his most valuable accomplice. To argue otherwise is absurd.

2)If Obi Wan's whole purpose in life is to protect the children, why doesn't he watch them more carefully? He seems to be asleep at the wheel.

3)I'm not sure how your point about "the force always balancing out"--a problematic formulation in itself given the Emperor's homicidal rein--is relevant to my point. Obi Wan hadn't been practicing his Jedi principles for a decade. He then recommits himself and is able to see Qui Gon. This is pretty basic, really, especially since there is no reference to Kenobi being "in balance" with anything following his failure to kill Vader. You have missed the whole point of the actual script and have substituted it with a bunch of nonsensical hypotheses.

Kenobi said early on that he only cared about the boy - Luke. He helped out with Leia's kidnapping as a favor to her foster parents.

Still don't get why he didn't kill Vader when he had the chance. Then again, I feel stupid thinking this. Since we already know the future. But the theory that he couldn't kill Vader cuz Luke would eventually hate him makes no sense to me.

How would you feel about the guy that killed your dad? Welcome him with open arms and his religion or rebel and become an atheist?

1) The Emperor recruited Vader to eliminate the Jedi and humiliate them with their own prodigy. I'm not saying 3rd brother is equal to Vader. He doesn't need to be because Vader already wiped out the majority of the Jedi. Joe Biden could lead the Empire at this point. They rebel forces are just starting to form and have limited power. 3rd brother already made a better choice to chase them and wipe them out but Vader let his emotions get in the way (his weakness) and let them escape so he could kill Kenobi.
Vader may be more powerful but he is too emotional to lead the Empire and ironically leads to the end of the emperor and the destruction of the empire.

2) Ben doesn't want him to be near Luke. He blames him for the "death" of Anakin. Kenobi stayed in the area just out of sight. Kenobi's guilt is what separated him from Luke.

3) "The act of living generates a force field, an energy. That energy surrounds us; when we die, that energy joins with all the other energy. There is a giant mass of energy in the universe that has a good side and a bad side. We are part of the Force because we generate the power that makes the Force live. When we die, we become part of that Force, so we never really die; we continue as part of the Force."

—George Lucas during a production meeting for The Empire Strikes Back

This is how I understand it... Jedi kill Sith; force tilts toward the Sith. More Sith are killed, the more powerful the dark side of the force becomes. Sith kill Jedi; More powerful the light side of the force becomes.

I watched the first 4 episodes when they came out but didn't watch the final 2 until this week. I think it made the last 2 episodes better, being far removed from the first 4. Reva was better, the action was better, Obi-Wan and Vader were better, the writing...still sucked, far and away the weakest part of the series.

Yes. The plot sucked. Didn't make sense. It was lazy writing. They could have wrote a better story. I still enjoyed it, though. It was cool seeing Vader again.

Just finished the last episode. Wasn’t great, wasn’t the worst thing I have ever watched.

Would be interested in a show/move about what the third sister does with the rest of her life.

Also, whoever was in charge of creating/writing for the 10 year old Leia character has clearly never spent any time with an actual 10 year old. Zero minutes. In now way in any scene would a ten year old react or act like that character did in any scene.

How do you know how a 10 yr old acts long ago in a galaxy far away?
