I've actually started to pay attention to these commercials after seeing your posts. I thought it was only one guy talking but turns out it's three different guys who sound similar mumbling their way through the copy.

Bad commercial.

This whole thing pisses me off.

The radio spots were bad enough. You've got this "street musician" Alex Guthrie hoping to have "his" music heard by millions. Ok, whatever.

Then the TV commercial comes out and there's Jennifer Hudson joining Guthrie by surprise, basically overshadowing him. I was like WTF, how did she pick up the lyrics and melody so fast, and why is AmFam taking this guy's dream and giving it to her? (Before I realized who the woman was.)

Now I find out that the song Lovely Day wasn't even written by Guthrie, but was a cover of a song written and performed by Bill Withers.

So all this time, this fucker Guthrie and these fuckers at AmFam were giving us a bullshit dream, and then adding Hudson to give it some more cred. Fuck AmFam and fuck Guthrie.

Everyone involved in these "Won't Someone Think of the Children?!?!" commercials about the Soda Tax can go straight to hell. The politicians don't care about the health of children or anyone else, they just want another source of money to replenish the money they squandered over the last several decades.

If a 5 year old is too obese to walk, I doubt soda is the issue.

How can anyone
A) drink that much soda in 5 years
B) give that much soda to a child?

Goff, in his latest "extended Labor Day sale" spot for MattressFirm, stated that MattressFirm would beat any competitor's price by 10% or it's free. Yeah, given the choice of selling you the mattress for 10% less than the competitor, or taking a total loss by giving it to you for free, I'm sure they would choose the latter.

I'd beginning to hate the Tito's vodka guy. Some dude with the same hat he's been wearing for years with his dog standing around the booze makes me assume the vodka smells like dirty hair and has dog hairs in it. His voice is dumb too, his esses are too long and he says "Austin Texas" like a moron.
