I don't think Chucks printer number was premeditated because it depended on Jimmy's girl saying no.

What if Chuck tries to steal the old people clients away by representing that he's Jimmy's brother with the same name and Jimmy decides to change his name in an effort to show the senile that they are different people.

Wasn't his slogan "If you need a will, think McGill" or something like that?

The previews for next weeks episode show Jimmy calling bingo numbers at the old folks home & he makes a snide remark to the room about how no one is ever leaving this place, & he walks out of the hall. Now this could just be typical preview deception where they show you a couple of seconds of a couple of scenes that turn out not to be connected.
I'm starting to think that this show is as good as, or or perhaps better than Breaking Bad...but I don't know if that is due to BB being so great or not.
Yea. the short TV seasons really suck. My next favorite show, Mad Men begins its final season of 7 episodes Sunday night! Cant wait.

I could totally see Chucks reaction to Jimmy first becoming a lawyer and passing the bar. And I get why he would not want him employed with the firm that makes sense but to actually do it again after Jimmy's been taking care of him bring them all this fuckin ice, debasing, and the fact that Jimmy found the case

What a dick

Classic. David Cross looks like he's 14 in that sketch.

The Wicked Sceptre party tape is probably my favorite.

Maybe that's what happens next week. Maybe it wouldn't work because he used HHM resources at one point.

I'm going to try not to think about it too much and just remember that Mike popped a guy in the throat. Cool.

jimmy had already brought chuck in, so it wasn't just his case at that point. he couldn't just take it to another lawfirm. and i'm guessing that HHM is the largest lawfirm in NM. probably had the most manpower to handle it.

yep, that's what I was thinking the whole time and I am somewhat of a lawyer.

But, I'll do you one better, something that's been gnawing at me much more than the law firm issue.....why does he keep his cell phone in the mailbox when there's a perfectly good and locked car sitting right next to it?????? That's been annoying me almost as much as it annoyed me in "Field of Dreams" when Kevin Costner said "Let's HAVE a catch" instead of "let's PLAY catch." Who the fuck says let's have a catch????

You're probably right about HHM, but not the other stuff. It was still 100% Jimmy's case. He signed up the clients, its his name on the contract. He made all the court appearances, filed all the documents, no doubt with his firm listed as the only firm. His brother and by proxy HHM might've done some work on the case and they could possibly make a claim to be reimbursed for their hours, but I doubt Jimmy and his brother ever entered into any sort of arrangement regarding the case. his brother was helping him on the side.

that's true. not that hamlin would've let him handle the case even if it weren't for his brother stepping in and flat out telling him to cut him out--but jimmy's reputation probably wouldn't have helped him in bringing it to another firm if it were possible anyway, i would think.

He could bring it to any firm and they would take it, but he wouldn't be able to make those same demands about being part of the case or having an office. But, they would definitely give him the same or better deal about the $$.

right--i meant to say he wouldn't have gotten any office or anything with another firm either.

i like your input regarding the lawyer stuff because i really don't know how much the show gets "right" about it all.

best line of the season: "you're not kevin costner" --- "YEAH BUT I WAS LAST NIGHT"

SPOILERS 4THCOMING BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (lol 95% of ppl here dont read my posts anyways but still...)

anyways BRAVO VINCE for not doing a stupid massive shock/cliffhanger/etc. seeing how he got the ring and incorporating the "always hustle" mantra cuz his friend saying its not even about the $$$ he genuinely had FUN with slippin jimmy = sets this show up nicely. i was saying in #bettercallsaul on irc that the only thing left for jimmy to do is summarily reject the bigtime/bigshot/formal lawyer world and be what and who he is, you know, live up to the mantra of redman's timeless classic "i'll bee dat"

this show has heart, it has character, and once that mike backstory episode came and delivered a truly awesome hour of television this has been appointment TV for me, as the 2nd half of this season more than made up for the slow-as-hell first half of the season that was just meh-at-best and featuring way too much of that one-dimensional hackfest of an actor nacho.

i know nacho's gonna prolly pop up next year but keep him minimalized cuz in terms of being a stupid stereotype i was just waiting for him to say ESE 500 times while in giant oversized wigger jorts and white shoes with fat gang-colored-laces in a hydraulic-enhanced car with a big oversized jesus necklace hanging from the rear view mirror.

and obviously this show is going to drop gus on us at some point, so they'll have to swear everyone to secrecy and bring in giancarlo esposito in a trunk or something so as few people know as possible.

of course it was, but it was all about symbolism and raison d'etre and etc etc.... in teh end we saw how saul got his ring, and go figure it has heart. this show has a whole lot of heart and i've grown to love it.... provided the series stays like the 2nd half of the season (aka mike episode and beyond) and doesnt go back to early days nacho-intensive suckfest.

Well, tonight's episode was a huge letdown for me & was the weakest of all BCS episodes. Jimmy's rant during Bingo was way too long & wasn't very interesting. All off the scenes felt too long.

That was probably the best moment of the episode.

In the minority it seems, but really enjoyed the episode.

The show didn't need a major oh shit moment at the end to make people watch season 2

Loved the inner turmoil the episode showed with Saul battling Slippin' Jimmy and a do right by his clients laywer.

The last two episodes I basically completely forgot about Mike until the very end of the finale.

I thought the finale was just ok but as was previously stated, I don't think it needed a cliffhanger or anything. We just saw the
metamorphosis towards becoming Saul finally click into place and begin. I'll be back for next season and as I've stated previously
I have been happily surprised by the series. Didn't think they really had that much to work with.

I tried it last night. I came in at the part where he was making some speech at bingo. Maybe I'll go back and watch from the beginning, but doesn't seem like my kind of thing.

Come on. How do you expect to jump in at the season finale and expect it to be your thing? Start at the beginning.

This is a good review of the finale.

I liked the season. Jimmy McGill the honest lawyer never had a chance (for a variety of reasons). He IS and always will be Slippin Jimmy AKA Saul Goodman
