The shows don't quite compare very well. Seinfeld has been off the air for almost 20 years and people still talk about certain episodes like the Soup Nazi. The show is still funny in syndication.

Everybody Loves Raymond is definitely more wholesome and the cast was excellent. Jerry Seinfeld is probably considered a better comic than Ray Romano. Even though the show is still in syndication the episodes are not as memorable as the Seinfeld episodes.

In my opinion Everybody Loves Raymond probably matches up better against King of Queens. Both are family-based sitcoms. Jerry Stiller was hilarious on King of Queens.

Peter Boyle was pretty good in it. Brad Garrett had his moments too.

Ray Romano is an unfunny cocksucker. No one loves him or his show

He was a sportswriter who never watched sports. He could have been in Chicago sports radio.

All I remember about the show was Brad Garrett being like "Raymond, I resent you, Raymond" and then his parents would come over and then his wife would be a Caller Bob about it.

'Raymond' is better watch with a group than solo.

The Raymond episode in which his mother, Marie, takes a class in sculpting is one of the top 10 comedy episodes of all time!

I awakened from a chilling dream in which Steve Carrell's character from The Office (I don't know his name because I never watched that show. Michael Scott?) was stabbing the living shit out of Don Draper. It wasn't funny like it sounds. That shit was dead serious and frightening. It's not like he was screaming, "That's what she said!" as he was murdering Don like a Manson killer. Anyway, I blame these television match-up threads.

No man should like Everybody Loves Raymond. Watching a beta cuck get bullied by his wife is funny? No.

The later seasons of Seinfeld are ridiculous but still had their moments. The first few seasons are legendary.

Raymond isn't even Romano's best show. Men of a Certain Age was great television. Too bad nobody watched it.

The problem with Everybody Loves Raymond is that it was basically the same three jokes told over and over again. It was either "spouse is a dumbass", "mother in law treats daughter in law as bad mother/wife", "Favorite brother makes other brother feel inadequate".

The casting of the show was top notch and they carried the otherwise formulaic and standard set of storylines to being pretty amusing.

A bunch of middle aged guys bitching about prostate health. His black buddy had the more interesting story line when he felt himself inadequate trying to fit into his dad's business empire.

You're confusing Men of a Certain Age with The Jason Goff Story.

Raymond had its moments but I would concur that it is not on the same level as Seinfeld. The best moments of Raymond were of the "Favorite brother makes other brother feel inadequate" variety. My favorite was when Robert (Brad Garrett) decides to quit the police force and become a home alarm salesman, and of course his first target customers are Ray and Debra.

Robert: "Research shows that when a would-be intruder sees a 'Castle Door' sign posted on the front door, he moves on."
Ray: "So, we'll just take one of those signs..."
Robert: "It doesn't work that way."
Ray: "Well, but if the guy doesn't..."
Robert: "IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY RAYMOND!!!"

Seinfeld gaves us Trump, because that's when negativism and mean-spiritedness became acceptable and mainstream in American society. That's when America lost its goodness and began to go downhill. America doesn't stand for anything now. Yes, you can blame the jews for their lack of decency. Sarah Silverman---case in point.

I am thankful for Raymond, because the latter years of it were the last years of my father's life, and we got to watch the show together. He laughed hard watching Raymond with his big laugh. Those are the things you miss about your dad.

What an interesting case study in mult psychosis. From idiotic racist ramblings to a heartfelt shoutout to his deceased dad. What is the point of this mult? Who is he vs?

Also, I saw Brad Garrett do a stand up show at the Horseshoe casino. He works very blue and was proud of it. He said his favorite part of the show is watching the old people gasp when they see the guy from Everybody Loves Raymond start saying fuck and cocksucker.

ANY show that has aired on CBS as a "sitcom" after circa-1990 is immediately disqualified from a "best sitcoms" list.
