I’m not talking about Kemper. I just said the interviews were true to the story. The ones they investigate are fictionalized.

Glad it's back. Probably the best show I have seen on Netflix. Seemed like it was under the radar.

That's a weird case. No official convictions.

only issue I had with this show was the lack of progress/closure with the BTK killer side story that was shown in every episode. I assume they're going to pick that up again in season 2?

The agent the main character is based on said Williams only committed some of the murders. I believe he was censured for that case, but he was still involved after. Williams never confessed, but whenever he asked for DNA testing it further implicates him.

I just assumed so.

There was a good ID special on the BTK Killer over the winter.

Most of the FBI people involved think that there was at least 2 seperate killers based on M.O. and signature.
Hell, when Gacy was caught he was screaming that he was not the only one involved. Turns out one of his employees turned out to be a serial killer as well.

Don't worry,we are only in the 80s BTK didn't get caught until late 90s if I remember correctly.

I don't know, the recent Golden State killer was caught in a pretty fucked up way. I think some distant relative sent in her DNA to one of those family tree websites and her DNA got flagged as connecting to several unsolved murders. From there the cops narrowed it down to the guy pretty quickly.

BTK was sending taunting letters. ASKed that instead of sending paper if he put them on a computer disk would it be easier as long as they could not track it. So he sent them a document on a diskette and Bingo.

Ripper crew,Larry Eyler work for Gacy on and off. Police like to keep it low key but they admit that Gacy had help with at least 1/3 of his know murders.

Two lawyers issued some report saying he might have had help, but I have never seen that the Ripper Crew was involved. Totally different MO since Gacy targeted boys. I have never heard that Larry Eyler was an accomplice of Gacy.

Read this.

Look up Jeffy Ringall.
The only reason Gacy got caught in the first place was the last kids family friend was high up in the police dprt. CPD to this day does not want to ever admit there is any type of serial killer activity in the city. Look at the shit that is going on on the South and West sides.

The article says Gacy hired the leader of the Ripper Crew, but does not go into any details. I am sure Gacy worked with a lot of different people with no connection to the murders. It feels more like a conspiracy theory than anything.

Yeah BTK totally biffed it. A deleted Word document on the floppy disk had data for "Christ Lutheran Church" and the document was modified by a "Dennis". He was the church council's president. Hahaha.

He was delusional. He thought the investigators were really just playing a game with him. When they arrested him, he was mad at the investigator for not being truthful about tracking the floppy disk.

August 16th premiere.

Quote:
According to Fincher, “Mindhunter” Season 2 will involve behavioral analysis as it makes its way to the front lines of police work. The Atlanta Child Murders, a series of killings that took place between 1979 and 1981 and left 28 African-American children, teenagers, and adults dead, is the driving narrative in the new season. For this reason, Wayne Williams plays a significant role. Williams is currently serving life imprisonment for the deaths of two Atlanta men in 1981 and police believe he was responsible for 23 of the murders. Fincher teased Season 2 picks up in the back half of the investigation as the FBI is called in to Georgia.

“You could probably do three seasons on the Atlanta Child Murders,” Fincher said. “It’s a huge and sweeping and tragic story. We couldn’t do it justice in the background of our nine hours. We had to choose to dramatize. … [the FBI] are the last guys in, they’re trying to help out something that has its own momentum and politics. It’s a divided battlefield. They’re coming in to throw this federal umbrella over everything to make everyone feel OK about sharing information.”

Apparently they're not releasing screeners for this season.
