It looks like a movie. The guy that plays Han appears to have no gravitas, and has been made second fiddle to the Falcon and Chewie. Whatever. Just be fun.

Playing Han Solo is a next to impossible task for any actor. But this guy seems ok.

The trailer is good. If that's any indication, could be a lot of fun.

They had the premiere in Hollywood last night. Got mostly good social media bits. I don't think the official reviews can come out until this
afternoon. I think I am going to try to get a ticket for the Thursday night showing at my local theater after work tonight.

Edit-- got the ticket for 7:30 pm showing on Thursday.

If pre-sales for the Dolby Cinema theater near me (where you pick your seats in advance) are any guide, there seems to be little interest in this movie. The first weekend for the last Star Wars movie and Avengers were virtually sold out weeks in advance.

Really looking forward to going tonight. A lot of mixed reviews on this one. Everything from really fun to a really safe and not spectacular
movie. I've been waiting a long time for it so I just want to have a fun experience, some good laughs and a decent story. Han and Chewie
are my favorites and there is a lot of buzz that Lando steals the show.

That's exactly where I'm at with this movie. It's not really a part of the Star Wars story arc, so I hope they just made a fun and entertaining movie.

I think Rogue One was the best of the post-prequels so far, so I have some hope that another non-trilogy movie might be good.

I was going to get tickets for tonight, but I have that corporate challenge run tonight in Grant Park. I have my tickets queued up for tomorrow. Yes, hoping it's just fun.

I'll go see it in a couple of weeks, most likely...unless my Father in law wants to see it this weekend while we're in Michigan...I'll probably like it even if it sucks...hell, I like Episode One.

Yes, Rogue One was awesome and I think it gets better with each viewing. The soundtrack is also better than any of the recent ones (though obviously there was a foundation to work from). My high opinion of Rogue One is actually what gives me the most optimism about this movie (despite it being all different people).

This movie obviously isn't getting the buzz other Star Wars movies have gotten, even Rogue One. The theater last night was maybe half
full last night in the room I was in. I thought the movie got out of the box a bit slowly and wasn't really convinced about the characters
and how Han Solo was being portrayed but I'd say about 15-20 minutes in when he meets up with Chewie things start moving in the right
direction. There were a few scenes that just didn't resonate with me but I thought over all it was a pretty fun ride with quite a bit of excitement,
good battle/fight scenes, and a pretty decent storyline. Harrelson actually does a pretty good job and the casting of Lando was really dead on.
I am not sure there would be enough there to do a stand alone movie on him, but he brought quite a bit to the film. His robot partner was a bit
on the annoying side and plays the SJW to the hilt. I was really hoping for more LOL moments. I did get a few chuckles but not as many as
I had hoped for. Was fun to see the friendship between Han and Chewie develop. Although slightly disappointed by the overall product, I did
think that they tied it all together pretty well and of course left the possibilities open for future chapters. If you are a Star Wars fan I think
you will enjoy it. You are going to get a lot of the fan boys to come out and hate it all up and down but as a stand alone film it doesn't detract
from the Star Wars universe, it just adds a bit more flare and answers some questions. The strangest thing was an appearance by a character
from an earlier film that I assumed we wouldn't see again so that was intriguing as well.

It was The last Jedi.. Garbage

Got to see this last night. Theater was half full.

It was decent. Better than the last Star Wars movie with Luke.

Guy who played Han was ok as well
As the guy who played Lando. But both were very short compared to Harrison Ford and Billy D.

The dragon lady from game of thrones absolutely sucked. Her appearance also made her look like a modern day secretary instead out of the Star Wars universe.

Maeve from Westworld was in it and she did a good job.

The female droid I think was voiced by the tall blonde woman from GOT as well.

It was ok. Good start , slow and boring middle, ok ending.

It was decent, a two and a half star movie. Looks like we’re getting more Darth Maul in the future.

Darth Maul's story post-Phantom Menace was covered nicely in Rebels, though he could have put up more of a fight when he finally met up with Obi-Wan.

Saw it today and loved it. Just what I was hoping for. Tons of action, the right amount of humor, and juuust enough tie in to the Star Wars movies. A big smile came to my face when Chewie jumped into the co-pilot seat and they started playing the Star Wars theme. And settling the "did Han shoot first?" debate was great.

Great summer movie fun.

all the stories in the MSM are saying how this movie bombed. i thought it was good but i think many didnt even know it was going to be out. I think I saw some commercials only the week before release.

Better than "The Last Jedi" but not nearly as good as "Rogue One". Needed some light sabers and shit. I liked it OK but it didn't feel connected enough to the bigger Star Wars story in my opinion.

i caught this during the week and like rogue one i enjoyed the overall aesthetic and think that in terms of "shut your brain off" movie fare these "extended universe" star wars movies are more viscerally satisfying than, say, your average "impressed with how unimpressed i was" marvel movie. i think the star wars universe/setup/style/etc lends itself well to essentially framing the action in movies like this.

the one thing that stood out to me was that emilia clarke's character seemed to mainly have a purpose to just kind of turn her head and smile at people like "OH YOU.... THERE YOU GO AGAIN DOING STAR WARS THINGS!" donald glover's lando also seemed to have a lot of turn-and-mug moments like that, except his was theoretically in character because he's doing lando things, dammit! i cracked up the first time i heard his voice and noticed he was essentially doing a billy dee williams impression.

but hey for a bunch of kids literally/figuratively doing a movie in their parents' clothes you could do a hell of a lot worse.

oh and fembot is right up there with jar jar binks in terms of being the most detestable character in the MCU. all of her dialogue was just so forced and tryhardy and designed to get you to think "so how exactly would lando fuck this robot?" and uhhhh yeah. fembot literally wanted to be a fuckbot.

Liked it way more than I thought I would.

The guy playing Han wasn't nearly as bad as we'd been led to believe and Donald Glover basically was Lando. Hell even Emilia Clarke wasn't awful.

Maul stuff was a little meh but overall it was good.

Kathleen Kennedy should be given a Taliban stoning for what she is doing to Star Wars.

I thought it was good. I liked it more than both Thor:Ragnarok and Black Panther. Finding out the backstories is kinda cool.

Well Solo killed the future "anthology" films.

I think you can doma Kenobi or Fett movie a lot easier than Solo but you’d need good writers. The Solo one just didn’t interest me as I was never the slightest curious on his back story and Harrison Ford was a tough act to follow.

They shot themselves in the foot releasing it in May. Well that and it wasn’t very good.
