Underrated DeNiro movie.

Really great acting.

Love the interracial angle too. I think I read when it was out it was actually about DeNiro's childhood.

He's always had a fetish for black girls.

Why do you consider an attraction to another race a fetish?

Serious question

never thought twice of him after bronx tail. must be a good actor because he made me want to bash his head in watching his jerky character on the sopranos. pump and dump. "webistics is our play of the week".

Isn't that the entire premise of Jungle Fever? What Angie and Flipper were doing was definitely indulging in sexual fetishism. Spike juxtaposes that against the potential relationship between Paulie and Orin that is based on respect and common interests.

Flipper was upset because he didn't have two dollars cash on him.

 I was so underwhelmed by the movie that I don't remember the ending, but that I wanted to leave early. It didn't help that my date was someone who never could stop talking.

I thought the same exact thing, minus the annoying date. Should have been a better movie than it was.

I liked Jungle Fever. Crooklyn is the one I couldn't sit through. But after Do The Right Thing anything was probably going to be disappointing. When a man creates a masterwork he shouldn't be expected to top it. I'm still working on a follow up to "Julia Child".

Crooklyn seemed like such a vanity piece, I've never wanted to see it.
