K well, umm, what if I told you that you could plant an apple seed and spend several years tending a tree that would eventually yield a few apples that would likely be less appealing than something you could buy for a dollar at the local Jewels?

Would you like those hypothetical apples?

Although the movie appears to embrace "liberal" politics, it's really a neoliberal fantasy that is committed to the ideological project of foreclosing systemic critique by legitimating the idea of capitalist meritocracy.

When you say it that way, it may be the best movie ever made.

A movie that Brick and Antioch could break bread over.

And nobody needs to spend more than a few minutes per week maintaining tomato plants.
In fairness, Antioch believes it would take hours of work to download and use the McDonalds app.

What did you mean by "waste" if you weren't referring to a waste of time?

I was going to say that we seem to be adding to the list of topics that Antioch has difficulty comprehending:

1) The entire premise and purpose of fast food apps
2) Tomato-growing
3) Apples

You’re gonna upset the app merchants who download 80 fast food apps to save a quarter on fries.

Do people pay any attention to the access you give apps you install? Some of that shit is stupid. You need my contacts list to use the LG app to get the diagnostic codes on an appliance? Shit like that. Fuuuuuck you.

You mean how it's in the law that they were never intended to be used for identification purposes?

quite the conundrum. almost as if the federal government isn't supposed to govern the people. states on the other hand... whatever. technology makes it too easy to dragnet now. its going to happen. they already ask ai a social security number and it summarizes your entire life, most likely along with a risk assessment.

I'm team Antioch on the fast food app debate. Difference here is the quality of farm stand tomatoes v. grocery store tomatoes. And hey, they do save you a couple of bucks.

Yes but it needs access to your GPS location and friends lists.

They don't even have anyone working there. You just put your money in a box. The honor system is alive and well.

It's already been explained to you that the savings are much more substantial than that. I personally find most corporate fast food revolting, but my kids like it, and the savings from using the app are significant--on many occasions 50% or more.
