I do agree on Betty though. And Don Draper is the most overrated character in all of television. He was interesting a couple years ago, but now its all just rinse&repeat with his tired act.

But he is supposed to be a smug and arrogant prick. That is what makes him entertaining to watch for me at least. I find myself glossing over at any of the Don/Betty drama and pretty much just watch Mad Men for the work stuff.

This season has reinvented Don. Last season he did start to get stale but now he is just going down the toilet and it is entertaining to watch.

even though your hyperbole is sometimes aggravatingly obtuse, you cannot possibly think that season 5 was horrific. if you need to, educate yourself again on the episodes during that season. 4 & 5 were easily when the show was at its peak.
