I was driving down to Florida a few years ago and caught the Dan Patrick Show (Nashville I think). He interviewed Will Ferrell and one of the topics was a hot air balloon movie that Ferrell was apparently in the process of writing or filming...

I loved the first Anchorman and I take the movie with me anytime I go on vacation and watch it on the plane on the way back home. The first part of StepBrothers was pretty funny and than it just took a huge shit at the end of it thus killing any actual good part about the movie. Anchorman is probably near the top of my all time comedies.

With Will Ferrell, you could at least find a few good moments here and there amongst all the parts that make you cringe and feel embarrassed for him. Cannot say the same for Adam Sandler. Awful human being. He's very consistent at making shit to the point that some of the good work he's done is ruined.

If making shitty movies makes you an awful human being than Nic Cage is Jerry Sandusky.

oh brother. "funny people" is half a great movie, half one of the worst excuses for a dramedy ever made. there are a lot of laughs and good stuff in the first hour, then it gets horrible. no other word for it. it literally falls apart.

"anchorman 2" is a bad idea. as bad as "caddyshack 2".

i liked "step brothers" but in a way different way than "anchorman".

sandler's best sandler movie is "the wedding singer" and his best performance is "punch drunk love".

The Wedding Singer was awful. Combine the last hour of Wedding Crashers and the last hour of Funny People and it still is more entertaining than that shit.

I agree with you on Funny People for the most part except I liked the closing scene alot.

Anchorman is the greatest movie ever. I don't think this one will top it, but if they can make 3 good movies about talking toys, then they can make 2 good movies w/ Ron Burgundy.

yeah yeah...FF...you hated "sin city". you have no right to say a damn thing about anything. shut up.

actually, the last 45 minutes of both "wedding crashers" and "funny people" combined would probably initiate my body having My Favorite Poster and Hero.

Usually your opinions on movies are fantastic, even though I sometimes disagree. I thought Sin City was your only blemish but The Wedding Singer? That's actually probably worse. You need to do your job ALOT better my friend.

I am not understanding the Step Brothers hate at all. That may be my favorite comedy of the past 5 years. John C Reilly is awesome.

Everyone needs to go see 21 Jump Street. I'm not sure why it's not getting the huge love a movie like Step Brothers or The Hangover 1 did because it probably is one of the funniest movies I have seen in the last 4-5 years.

Jenko: I'll beat your f*cking dick off!
Domingo: [Looks surprised] You want to beat my dick off?
Jenko: Right here both hands!
Schmidt: I think what he means is that he will punch you so many times around the genital region that your dick will fall off.

Anchorman, like Napoleon Dynamite was a movie I hated when I first viewed it. It got better with incessant repeated viewings in small doses; a scene here and there when flipping through it on cable. I wouldn't call it comedy gold but it's amusing in spots.

Ben Stiller is awful. I've disliked him for years now but my hate has gone to celestial heights since seeing him in the movie Greenberg. Truly a character only a fuckface like him could make in to one of the most abhorrent human beings ever depicted upon celluloid.

Sandler's comedy films are for drooling mutants. He should stick to the dramatic roles. He was great in Punch Drunk Love playing an emotionally repressed man child.

Ben Stiller is fucking lame, but pretty good in his bit part in Anchorman. He's also ok in Tropic Thunder.

you know, he pioneered this comedy era we live in now with 2001's "zoolander" so watch it.

yeah he sold out to really bad romantic comedies and stretched himself thin with the mtv movie award parodies. but beginning with "the ben stiller show" back in '93, the guy's been awesome in his prime.

ben stiller's best: "permanent midnight", "tropic thunder", "zoolander", "the royal tenenbaums"

"greenberg" was eh. had some laughs but it was just...dull. the chick in it was cute though.

Jack and Jill does look significantly worse than any movie in history.

This can't be far behind.

He literally put the worst parts of Billy Madison and The wedding singer in a blender and came up with this crap.

i thought kingpin was outstanding and step brothers as well...talladega nights sucked...turned it off halfway through..same goes for blades of glory and the basketball movie ..... and this new one where ferell speaks spanish will suck just as much..i won't watch a minute of that crap.... zoolander could very possibly be one of the worst movies ever made. tropic thunder was awful.

good comedy = something about mary, big lebowski, step brothers, kingpin, deuce bigalow the first one, meet the parents, tommy boy, office space, friday the first one, me myelf and irene

Watched this on Netflix last night. It might be the worst move I've ever seen.
