What is the point of this commercial? To show that an adult can tackle a child and then strut around like it's a great accomplishment?

The new Amazon "Whoo!" commercial has me reaching for the mute button every time it's on.

The NWSL (It is SO on!), WNBA, and NBA commercials that air during College Football Final are very irritating. The NBA commercial says "This year, it's different!" Was there something particularly bad about the NBA last year that they want people to know will be different this year?

Can we talk about how that AT&T iPhone commercial kinda not so subtly implies that the family's children regularly try to listen to their parents get it on?

Sure. What would you like to say about it?

I hear the WNBA front office touting how its players are in major commercials and what a year it was. Those are gifts, completely unjustified by the players Q ratings or potential to sell product. The league is in its 27th year and still lives off the kindness of strangers. No other league could have survived into year 27 with the quality of play and level of interest and yet it still scolds society about the patriarchy

It's subtly disturbing, though I don't think it was intentional, but should have been seen in the production process and could have been avoided by simply having the actors walking by the door and hearing the excited iPhone talk instead of showing them perched outside the door already.

I really didn't catch that. Not surprising though that you did.

Just heard a spot on the Score for secondhand suits that featured suits for "the guy too short for his weight." I've never heard it put that way before.

I believe that’s what the ad biz would call microtargeting.

The guy who's too short for his weight, behind the hatred there lies a murderous desire, for ribs

Bernstein is also doing reads for almostfreeteeth.com. Their website must have been designed by almostfreewebsites.com.

Only because PantherPisla turned them down.

I'm irrationally angry that I just saw an Old Navy Christmas commercial on October 27th.

The Wicked movie has a Lexus cross-promotion commercial, because....

Lexus SUVs are made for upwardly mobile white ladies (and gay guys - BIRM) who love musicals.

Same reason they have a Target promo.

But at least nonsensical brand marriages like Marvel's Loki and Hyundai at least featured the character in a Hyundai for some reason. This Lexus-Wicked spot was just clips from the movie cut up with shots of an overpriced Toyota driving places.

It feels almost disrespectfully "you like this, so shut up and buy this."

The Scout Motors commercials aren't dramatic or touching.

it's bad enough that more and more christmas songs are being dumped into the mariah carey bag every year but these commercial campaigns that use them as jingles are just making it so much worse.

and, i think this was from last year, too, but there's a ritz commercial with the nightmare nutcracker and the nightmare mouse sword fighting and this girl stops them to have snack time. the way she shouts "time out!" is jarring. it's a quick commercial but i've already seen it 5 times this week.

Who knew Eugene Levy had such pull in the business to get such an untalented son a payday other than the projects he produces. I love Levy. His son is painfully unfunny.

The show they did Schitt's Creek was good. They are going too far in keeping the son going.

He also has a punch me face, which is strange because he looks just like his dad. Then again, Eugene Levy didn’t become lovable until “American Pie”.

The commercials aren't necessarily good or bad but if Wicked is such a good movie why did they spend a billion dollars on advertising it?
