i had a feeling that this issue would've been brought up...osha and asha confused me at first too. but like i said, there are a lot of similar sounding names in this whole series...so i wouldn't be surprised if there are more name changes.

Stop bringing up Meereen.

I'd like to forget that there ever was such a place.

GREGOR WENT DOWN A FINE EATING ESTABLISHMENT CALLED MCDONALDS. THEY ASKED IF HE WANTED SPECIAL SAUCE ON HIS BURGER. HE CUT THEIR HEADS OFF.

Earlier this week, maybe Tuesday evening, Conan had on the guy that played Drogo the warrior guy.
I didn't realize that he also plays Conan the Barbarian in the new movie coming out. It was a good
interview and quite funny. I also didn't realize the guy is married to Lisa Bonet.

edit: if the link sends you to another interview just scroll down and click on the Jason Momoa one. Thanks

Nerdgasm alert. I should not have watched this at work.

Trailer for new AGoT RTS game. I would have put it in Video game section but this is probably more its target audience.

BIG GEEKY RUMOR THAT'S AS GOOD AS TRUE

... Game of Thrones hasn't even started Season 2, but it's never too soon to talk about Seasons 3 and 4. Rumors that are currently circulating on the internet hint that HBO is already thinking hard about greenlighting two more seasons of the fantasy drama, with the idea that the two seasons would be shot back-to-back. As you likely know, each season is supposed to correspond with a book from the novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire." And if you've read the books, you know that the third book of the series, A Storm of Swords, is a frickin' monster with enough awesome material for two seasons. And since you're smart, you can figure out that shooting two seasons back-to-back can only mean one thing: A Storm of Swords will be split into Seasons 3 and 4, and I think we all know exactly where Season 3 will end.

they also may combine elements of the 4th and 5th books, since technically the events happen simultaneously...that would probably take another 2 seasons up.

Just read the books.

I don't want my opinion to skew yours.

We can discuss once you finish.

If Tyrion, Jon, and Dany are the main focuses of A Dance of Dragons, it will be my favorite book of the series.

 depends on how you look at it.

my point though is that they are not in "feast" at all; therefore, if hbo sticks to a book a season, even splitting up "storm" can work--but you aren't gonna get a ton of ratings if you have a season that doesn't include those characters. my point about DWD is that the two books are pretty much current with each other so you could do, like, seasons 4 & 5, and layer caking the two books so you get all that...ahem...action...going side by side, rather than doing season 5 just "feast", season 6 just "dragons".

does that make more sense?

and yes, jackref, i whole heartedly agree. name the place, i'll provide the dornish wine...

Never one to new late to the party, I just started reading book 1 and am about halfway through . I'm pleasantly surprised how much I like it as I generally abhor the fantasy genre. Am dovetailing the reading with watching the episodes of the series on demand, so far seems pretty faithful to the book though I must say, Daenerys is umm, a little bit more mature than I pictured her being in the book 8) . Looking forward to finishing the book / TV show sometime this week.
